MS Money 2000 Standard
by theoffical
Before this program was released, I used a lot of other pieces of software, that to be honest, just didnt do the job. So as soon as I saw Money 2000 advertised on the Internet, I checked it out. I needed a program that was going to let me handle me finances, and sort them out into managable slots for me to look at. This software doesnt ... mean that you have to always use the same computer when you want to access your private finance information. Their is an intigrated segment, which means that you can log onto the system from the internet, so no matter where you are, you can go on it.
When I use online banking, I find that my bank only provides me with a few features and options to manage my money. This software allows me to view my balance, and work out where my money is coming from, and where it is going. There is also an option to make payments a monthly thing, so you dont have to remember to set them up on this system every month, you can guarentee that you will forget. You can view documents that can tell you what you have spent throughout the month, and how much, so you can try and cut down on your costs. I use this program on almost a daily basis, and I think that it is brilliant. Read the complete review |

MS Office Accounting Professional 2008
by boredindunoon
Microsoft Office Accounting Professional is a brilliant solution to all those accounting needs that small businesses are buried under day after day. This software is designed to get you organized, thus saving time and therefore money. To tell you the truth I was slightly hesitant to use this software, simply because I used Microsoft ... Works in the past and had nothing but problems with it from the onset, thankfully however my fears were unfounded as this is a million times better and of far more use.
The software was really easy to install and surprising fast, so much so that when it was finished I was left sitting thinking "Did I do it right?" but I had. It is extremely easy to use and is similar to the Microsoft Office interface, so previous user of Office require very little time to adjust and learn the new software. It is simple to produce databases, quotations, invoices, payroll, cash flow, VAT, PDF's and has the ability to produce some very impressive graphs, so most likely everything you could ever possibly want. I especially liked the fact it gives you the option to link to PayPal which seems to be one of the most popular ways to pay for goods.
Overall this really is a fantastic package, ideal for the small business.

MS Money 2005 Standard
by dougcam1
This is an extensive and powerful money management tool, whether you want to keep track of your every move financially or simply to balance your bank statement each month, the features pretty much allow you to do as much or little with it as you like. It's basic account tracking is probably it's best feature. It's clearly laid out, the ... income and expense categories cover almost every conceivable area, and the integration with most major banks and credit card websites is a real plus. I personally found the pop-up tips regarding personal finance slightly annoying, however there is some good advice contained within them. The reports it can produce are wide ranging, and contain lots of facts, figures and advice and are almost completely customisable and exportable to spreadsheet software.
Setting up more than a basic account tracker can be slightly more challenging, and I found gradually building up my understanding of the program was easier than attempting to access the help files, which cannot be viewed without access to the internet. Even then, I found them fairly unhelpful, and I would expect a novice user to struggle. Eventually though, I managed to include and now track all my finances using the software and am happy with the outcome.
Strangely the facilities linking the software to the MSMoney website community are not entirely reliable, in particular I've found it doesn't seem to update share and fund prices accurately, meaning I still had to check other sites for latest data, one of the things I had hoped to avoid when buying an all in one money program. However, you can synchronise your account with the MSMoney server, and providing you have signed up for a Microsoft Passport, you can access your money data from any computer with internet access Read the complete review |
