“ Brand: Boots / Tweezers for First Aid Kits „
When it comes to being clumsy I could write a book on it which is why I have rather a large first aid kit in my possession. Constantly I manage to get shards of stuff stuck in my skin such as splinters and things when I'm pulling weeds out of my front gardens path and the likes so recently I decided to invest in some First Aid Tweezers and these I got in Boots.
The tweezers come in a green oblong shaped box and on the front of it we are told that they are Boots Pharmaceuticals First Aid Tweezers 'Multi Purpose Use' and that the box contains one pair of the tweezers. On the back of the box other information listed includes being told a bit about the tweezers and how to keep them clean, we are told that they are made in Pakistan and contact details for Boots are given. Inside the tweezers sits bound at the pincher end by a small piece of see-through plastic which can be reused.
These silver, long and with lines on for added grip to each side of the long length of the tweezers are made from stainless steel, are lightweight and with pointed tips for precision to remove the likes of splinters. The pointed tips are rather sharp and angled and the inside of those points, once again has raised lines on them for added grip which helps to remove things embedded in the skin.
Slim and easy to hold the use they are easy to pinch together and effectively remove remnants of things that shouldn't be stuck in the skin. I like the weight of these, the fact that the pointed tips really are great for precision and that they are really easy to use.
To clean them after using them you can simply wash them in a little warm soapy water and wipe them with a little antiseptic for extra cleaning if desired.
For me these are a must have item in a first aid kit. I can't tell you how many times since I bought these that I have needed to use them to pick out splinters and even some glass from my knee!
At £1.99 a pair (only in Boots) these offer not only great value but also great quality and get a big thumbs up from me!
