Advantages: comfort and relief of pain from blisters
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
With a marathon runner and two kids doing Duke of Edinburgh in the family these are an absolutely essential part of our first aid kit.
They help soothe the pain that blisters cause, and they are great because they do actually stay in place.
The directions do advise that you can apply them before an activity to stop blisters developing which I thought was a bit odd, how do you know when your going to get a blister? but husband explains to me that it comes with experience when he runs he usually developes blisters in the same places he has before so he sticks one of these on and this prevents these blisters developing. It works.
It's important to hold the plaster in your hand to warm it for a minute before putting it on, I don't know why but thats what the instructions tell you, probably to make it more pliable.
Anyway my family love these and they're not just for very active people, if you develop a blister from an ill fitting pair of shoes or doing a lot of walking these are just the thing your looking for.
They may seem quite pricey (about £4.99 for a pack of 8) but you will be glad you have them.
Summary: An absolute must for anyone who suffers from blisters
