Advantages: soothes pain
Disadvantages: a little unsightly on foot
When I was suffering with a verruca last year and having special freezing treatment (very painful!) I was coming home limping, then experiencing blistering on the foot a week down the line. This was exceedingly uncomfortable and also unsightly. Blisters are difficult things to deal with, because you do not know when the right time is to pop them, cut them or leave them.
I managed to get some relief with these plasters, recommended to me by a friend who had gone through something similar. They are ideal for people who suffer from really bad blisters, right through to the nasty niggling blisters that can appear after ice skating or long walks in tight shoes.
The plasters come in a range of packs, so you can pick ones that suit the toes, heels, etc. They will cost about three to four pounds for a pack, with the amount of plasters in each pack varying on which pack you opt for. When you open them up, small slightly rubbery esque pads will greet you. You simply follow the instructions and attach the pads to the blister, ensuring that the surface area has been smoothed out as much as possible, for extra comfort.
When I tried them, they instantly took the pressure and the sting out of the blister. I could feel the pad when I walked, but this was a lot more comfortable than feeling the blister. They stayed on well and also helped promote the healing underneath, so that in a few days the skin had settled down. They are best to apply at the first sign of a blister developing, so that you can nip it in the bud. Safe, easy to use and affordable, they provide both short and long term relief for blisters.
Summary: a good buy for blisters
