I bought a pack of these plasters for £1.75 from a local discount store. There are ten plasters in each pack and they contain silver which aids the healing process. Each plaster is of a decent shape and size, the same shape and size as regular plasters. Each plaster has a cushion in the middle of it that helps to protect the wound. The silver is locked inside the plaster and it activates itself upon contact with the skin. You can't really notice it to be honest. It just looks like a silver coloured plaster with a mesh. A few years ago I had a reasonably deep leg ulcer on my left ankle, roughly the size of as 50pence piece. Regular visits to the nurse were required and one of the things they used were dressings which were impregnated with silver. This was the catalyst for my purchase of the Elastoplast Aqua Silver Healing Plasters recently, due to the success I had with silver dressings in the past. The Elastoplast Aqua Silver Healing Plasters cost around £2-£2.50 for a pack of 10,from most pharmacies and supermarkets. I think elastoplast is a name that is common in almost everyones houses. They have been making plasters for over 80 years and have a plaster to suit just about every cut and graze. They include invisible plasters, plasters with cream to speed up healing and these, plasters with silver to reduce the likelihood of infection. As those of you who regularly read my reviews will know, just over a month ago now I had a rather nasty cut on my wrist. I bought these plasters to protect it during the last stages of its healing.
