      Would rather have waterproof plasters

I'm forever cutting my fingers, and normal packs of plasters usually have lots of different shape and size plasters in each pack. I usually only use the strip plasters so the rest get wasted. I wanted to find a pack suitable for just finger wounds and came across these by Elastoplast.

      --- The plasters ---
The Elastoplast finger strips come in a nice large cardboard box with the normal Elastoplast design, the product name sits across the top of the box, and a picture of a hand and plaster being put around a finger so you know what these plasters are for.

Inside the box are 16 plasters. Each plaster is 2cm wide by 12cm long. They are all the same size so you don't have to faff around in the box trying to find the right size. Each plaster is packaged in an individual paper wrapper for hygiene reasons. The wrapper is easy to open, by a tab at the end.

With the plasters being so long, they are easy to wind around your finger more than once, so you don't have to worry about stretching the plaster and it falling off, like smaller striped plasters. Once a plaster is in place, I've never had any problems with them falling off or being restricted in movement. They are super sticky so when it comes to removal it can be quite uncomfortable and I've been left with the outline of the plaster on my finger but with a little scrub it comes off easy.

The only problem with these finger strips is that they are fabric, and obviously being used on fingers, when it comes to washing up they are useless. Once submerged in the water the plaster tends to come away from the skin and another is needed after washing up. Surely Elastoplast should of used waterproof strips for fingers!

      --- Overall ---
I purchased 16 finger strips for £3 from Boots, I would of thought they would be available in all the usual places, supermarkets and chemists.

I wont be buying these again, although the theory behind the plasters is a good one, being long and sticky, the non waterproof aspect definitely lets them down.
