Advantages: Lightweight, with decent waterproofing

Disadvantages: Waterproofing wears off if submersed in water frequently

I work in a laboratory, and I am required to wear gloves all day, when you have a small cut on your finger the gloves cause irritation, leading to a lengthy healing process, even in the smallest of cuts. Having an plaster covering small cuts is an absolute must, however, I have often found that as I have to wash my hands thoroughly several times during the working day, most plasters do not stand up well, and need replacing often. This new Savlon Advanced Plaster seemed to offer the ideal solution to my problem.
Unlike most 'waterproof' plasters, these are made from skin friendly breathable fabric, they combine stretchiness, adhesion and water-resistance. They are designed to speed up healing time by creating an ideal balance of air and moisture. The pad contains a special ingredient that stops bleeding fast, and controls further bleeding. They are hypo-allergenic, and therefore suitable for sensitive skin. They also claim to be amazingly adhesive without leaving a sticky residue.
So what did I think...
Well they do feel really good when in place, they are very thin and lightweight unlike most fabric plasters, and there sticking power is great, so much so, I had difficulty removing the first one! I am not convinced that they don't leave any residue though, as I found some sticky marks that did take some time to remove.
They're waterproof ability is also very good, although I found that with frequent washing of my hands removed they're waterproof abilities, however, in normal circumstances I think the waterproof ability is much better than any other plaster I have ever tried.
All in all I think they are excellent plasters, the most effective waterproof and lightweight plasters I have tried and suitable for all. In fact they are so lightweight you don't notice them on your skin, I was very impressed!
