savlon soothes (Savlon Advanced Plasters)

Advantages: breathable Disadvantages: quantity Savlon is a well known brand and so I chose these plasters based in this but mainly because they are BREATHABLE. I find that if you have a basic plaster on your finger, it makes the skin sweat underneath, and when you take the plaster off, your finger is kind of smelly even after a day of wearing. These ones are water resistant and don't hold water and dry quickly. They let your skin breathe underneath. I cut the top of my thumb badly the other day when using a sharp knife to cut an onion. I put one of these on and it stretched nicely aroung the area to fit well, and the special pad stopped the bleeding fast. I have found with other plasters that when the injury is in your finger or thumb, they sit awkwardly and don't seal around the wound. Even though it is stretchy, it doesn't leave that stickyness that material plasters do. Eugh. Negatives - you only get 10 in a box - 6 of the standard plaster size and 4 slightly larger ones, but they are currently on offer in Boots at 93p. Summary: above average plaster |
