Advantages: light, non stinging
Disadvantages: bottle can be a little big for some first aid bags
I think by now, anyone who has read my reviews knows I have 5 children, 2 of which are boys, 1 tom boy and 2 very nature/animal inquisitive girls.
I have what seems like a first aid kit to put a hospital to shame, and its for ever running out!
OK this product is great for cleaning the crap out of grazes caused by cycling, skateboarding and football, as well as cooling and refreshing areas damaged by nettle or bee stings, its been quite a great little item!
Every time the kids go to the park now (having a 14 year old has its perks sometimes as he takes a couple of them at a time..) and every outing we take it as part f our "Patch up kit".
It comes in a delightfully clear blue plastic bottle with a non aerosol pump spray, has very little smell, does not stain clothing and is pretty light even for a 100ml bottle. Its formula doesn't sting the raw skin when applied (and is meant to be applied liberally to wash out any dirt) and can be used on any graze or sting, pretty much any injury that's not a burn or may require stitches! Its great for excema too if they have a little skin break accident.
This fluid has become the main staple of out fixup kit and a invaluable resource in any home first aid kit.
Would I trust cheaper stores own versions? probably not, with the exception of maybe Boots, if they do it of course!
This item can be bought for £2.19 for 100ml from Boots
Summary: great little standby for parents in the park

- 24/10/09 This is great - I use it all the time and i find it good for eczema, but I agree that the bottle could be smaller. Fab review x |
