Tesco Antiseptic Wipes
Advantages: Kills germs and convenient to use
Disadvantages: They sting just a little
Antiseptic wipes are just so convenient that I always try and have some in the house. I tend to use them a lot on my son as in an ideal world if he falls and scrapes him knee or cuts his finger or even gets scratched by the cat I would like to wash the wound thoroughly and then put some anti-septic cream on it but with children this isn't always practical as if the scrape doesn't hurt that much I can't get him to come in and sit still long enough for me to do this as he wants to stay out and play.
That's where the wipes come in handy as I can make sure and disinfect the wound and ensure that it doesn't get infected in a few seconds so he can be out playing again as quick as possible. I usually buy my wipes from Tesco as they are cheap and as good as any other ones that I have tried.
They only cost 70p for a pack and I also like that each wipe comes individually wrapped as some other packets of antiseptic wipes come in those resealable packs and if you don't use them quickly they tend to dry out and become unusable. With these ones it doesn't matter if they sit in the cupboard for ages as they will still be fine to use the next time I go for one.
The wipes are nice and moist and not too wet and although they sting a little when they are wiped over a wound they don't sting that badly and it only lasts a couple of seconds. I always tell my son the stinging is them killing all the nasty germs.
As well as being for cuts and scrapes I also use them for cleaning things like my laptop keyboard and also things like the toilet handle etc. I do have cleaning products for these things of course but sometimes I have run out and these make pretty good substitutes.
You only get 10 wipes in a pack but because they are pretty cheap to buy in the first place and because they are individually sealed I think they are good value and as I said earlier they are just as good as more expensive wipes that I have used and I would definitely recommend them to others.
