Tesco Antiseptic Wipes
Advantages: practical and effective.
Tesco antiseptic wipes...What gods send; I have these in my first aid kit and also in my hand bag. They are great. When we have the inevitable grazed knees and elbows, which happens quite a bit in my house, ensuring the wounds are clean has to be top priority for me to avoid any infection, and these are perfect, they come individually wrapped which keeps them sterile and also extremely versatile and practical. I always keep a few in my bag for when my kids have the odd fall and graze their knee or elbow, along with a small roll of plaster strip and an antiseptic spray. These are essential in my handbag.
To use them you simple tear open the foil wrap and unfold the small wet wipe. You then gently wipe the wound from the centre out, and then add antiseptic cream or spray and a plaster if required. It very simple and saved a lot of mess when you have to make up an antiseptic mixture and soak cotton wool. The wipes themselves are damp but not too wet and have a very subtle smell which is not unpleasant. With these wipes it's simply wipe and throw away, easy. They don't sting too much so my little one doesn't object too much to me using them, another bonus.
They come in a relatively small box that is white, blue and green and each wipe comes individually wrapped in an easy open foil wrapper. You get ten foil packets per pack each containing one wipe and unless the cut or graze is particularly dirty, one is sufficient to clean a wound, and then they are completely disposable. The pack costs a very reasonable 70p and I would definitely recommend them. I think they are great mainly because you know that when you are cleaning a wound, the wipe is both sterile and antiseptic and that is very important to me, especially when it comes to my boys. They contain aloe Vera which is famous for its healing and cleansing properties which increases its effectiveness, in my opinion.
The ingredients are Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Glycerin, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, and Sodium Sulfite
You can buy these from most if not all Tesco stores but I tend to buy mine online at www.tesco.co.uk.
Overall I think these are great and highly recommend them, practical and reasonably priced...definitely worth a try...perfect!
