Disadvantages: They Don't Actually Work

I feel a bit had by Tesco over these plasters. These were the only plasters I could find in our local Tesco. I checked the whole of the health and beauty bit, but the only brand of plasters I could find were these Tesco ones on a special display stand. There were on offer for two boxes for £2. Normally they're a bit over £1 per box so I thought I might as well get two for the small saving. You always need plasters and it's not like they go out of date.

I opened up the first plaster out of this box and put it on the blister that was on my foot, when I got home of course. Getting the backing wrapper off was fiddly, and I tore the plaster slightly trying to get it off.

Once applied, I had to smooth it down a few times before I was happy it was going to stay put. Only then it didn't stay put, it came off in under an hour! Some plaster that was. But I thought that in fairness, maybe my feet were a bit sweaty or something, maybe it wasn't the plasters fault.

So I tried another one a few weeks later when I had a nick on my finger. And realised that yes, it was the plasters fault. I had no other plasters in the house, and I really needed a plaster on the little cut so I didn't bleed all over my work. Would you believe I wound up sellotaping this to my finger to get it stay put?

I'm thoroughly disappointed with these, and with Tesco for selling them in the first place. I expected better from them. Since throwing these in the bin, the Mrs has bought home a reel of fabric plasters from the pound shop that are five times more adhesive than these are, with backing paper that comes off. I'll stick to those in future.
