Tesco Kids Monkey Plasters
Advantages: work well and a reasonable price
Disadvantages: only two sizes
A cut finger required an emergency purchase of plasters during our Tesco shopping trip. My daughter choose these.
The box contains 30 plasters and although it says assorted, ours only contained long and short thin plasters. To be fair that was all we really need and the design, see later, would look odd on a square one. Each plaster is individually wrapped .
The plaster itself is clear with a three row mixed money pattern on it. While the pattern repeats, there is enough variation to make them interesting and distracted my daughter from the pain. The actual bandage part is white so is very visible and the monkey pattern on that stands out.
Ease of Use
Opening the individual plasters was very straightforward and there are arrows to show you where to open. I find with many of the patterned plasters they are very sealed in and it can be difficult to get them out. Not so with these which opened easily and in a good position for placing on a cut. The plasters have small holes in them, I don't really know what they are for but I'm guessing to let the skin breath.
They go one very easily, stay on for an acceptable length of time and come off with little bother. They stayed on overnight which is always a good test. I must confess we always take plasters off in the bath or shower and had no problems or pain doing that but I can't say what it would be like taking off dry.
Value for Money
At 80p for a box of 30 plasters, I think this is very good value for money. The pattern was interesting for my daughter without being overly so and leading to unnecessary requests for them. They are significantly cheaper than many of the other patterned plasters and have two different sizes compared to the usual one.
I would buy these plasters again as they work as you would expect of a plaster, are relatively good value for money while still being fun and interesting for a child.
Summary: A good value practical purchase which is still fun to wear
