I spend a lot of time working from home and had the idea of getting a fish tank for my desk to make a more pleasant working environment. I looked at numerous tanks and after a bit of research I went for the Biorb.

The setup of the tank is really straightforward and within an hour it was unpacked, setup and filled with water. I left the tank for a few days before I put fish in it to allow the various (good) bacteria to grow and the water levels to settle - I'm glad I did this as it gave me time to research which fish to stock it with and also ensure they were being put into a healthy environment,

Maintenance of the tank is simple. Once a week I replace 10% of the water with treated fresh tap water and once a month I clean the filter and generally clean things up a bit.

The tank is quiet and the iLight really looks good with the various effects that it gives (sunrise, sunset, moonlight) and I would recommend upgrading to this from the standard halogen light.
