Body Sculpture Body Gym
Advantages: Great multifunctional uses, good material durability and quality.
Disadvantages: £20 may be too far for some people to stretch.
Gyming is a vital part of every persons life - or at least it should be. Exercise combined with healthy eating and a positive mind set equals disease free, healthy life-styles. Fortunately for those who find it less convenient and maybe a little too expensive to become a member of a gym, technological advancement has enabled people to purchase equipment which is of gym quality, but for the home.
This is an example of a piece of equipment which is massively suited to the home, and is almost designed around it. It is a multi-functional device suited to the male physique (and marketed towards this audience) which can be applied to floors and doors in different positions to achieve a balanced work out.
The device is essentially three metal bars, two curved and one straight, which attach together via plastic plates, bolts, plastic ends, and rubber protectors to produce a piece of work out apparatus everyone can enjoy. You can use this kit for chin ups, sit ups, press ups and pull ups. For pull ups the set has to be combined with a door opening, being attached to the upper edge. What makes pull ups unique with this product is the fact there is no screwing, drilling or use of any tools when setting it up for that particular activity - or indeed any activity the product can achieve.
When completing a series of press ups (push ups) it may seem a silly addition to the process to use such an unneeded device. The Body Gym actually helps with the process because it lets your hands sit more comfortably on the frame-work. The no-slip rubber padding gives your hands grip without the need for gloves, and the forward running bars allow for your hands to grip round in the right position.
The frame is of excellent quality. The rubber material of the pads doesn't rip or tear after months of use and the metal is strong and durable despite putting your whole body weight over it. When you get the thing out of its box it is dead easy to assemble and takes roughly 10 minutes (there are full instructions within the packaging). The best thing about this product is that (according to the manufacturer) it is very effective at targeting the correct muscle groups specific to the type of workout you are performing. It enhances normal work out positions and repetitions people are used to doing day in day out - and this makes it accepted within the gym culture (something work billions of pounds every year). I would recommend this product for its ease of use and for the progress you get from it when carrying on your normal routine and adding it in. Costing around £20.00 from many major retailers, it is also ready available.
Summary: A simple construction for people serious about their physique.
