Advantages: Low cost, does exactly what you would want/expect

Disadvantages: Possibly not big enough for taller people

I bought this ball while pregnant, as a gentle way to get some exercise and to help the baby get into position nearer to the end. I was able to get this from Argos for about £10.

For the cost, this ball is definitely a bargain. It's easy to get out of the box and pump up, and the pump seems sturdy and long lasting so is now happily in my cupboard in case I need it again. The ball itself is a nice, bright and gender neutral colour, and the texture is the same rubbery feel as every other gym ball that I have ever used. (Men might be less of a fan of the Davina logo on the side though!)

The ball comes with a booklet of exercise ideas, which I haven't used personally but means that you have the choice of incorporating this ball into your own exercise routine, or can use the suggested ideas to get started.

My only criticism of this ball is that it is possibly a little bit small... I am only 5ft 4/5 and at the moment when sat on it my hips are a little bit lower than my knees. I am planning on fixing this by pumping more air into it to increase the resistance, but I don't think that would be enough to make it suitable for anybody taller than me.

So although it's a great ball, I would definitely go for a bigger one if you are taller than 5ft 5ish.

Summary: A good buy if you check the height first
