This twist board was something I bought in January when I was filled with New Years resolutions to get fit. The reason I choose this board off Amazon was both for the price and I liked the fact that there were some reflexology points on the board as I hope these would also help improve the circulation in my body and help me look fitter and healthier. The board is a circular shape the size of a large dinner plate with lots of little lumps on the top which are in the shape of feet to help you know where to place them. However what I do notice is that the bumps are a bit large for my size 5 feet and I have to admit has made me wonder how accurate the reflexology claims can be.The purpose of a twist board is to help improve the tone of the abdominal area define the hips and thighs. They recommend standing on the board and twisting on it each 10 for at least 10 minutes to achieve good results. To do this you must bend your needs and twist to get better results. I find that the board slips if done a wooden floor surface due to its plastic nature however it grips very well to carpet making ideal for me to do in front of the TV when my son has gone to bed. As with most home exercise equipment a lot of its benefits rely upon your own motivation to do the exercises and this is the area I struggle with as it often easier for me to sit down at the end of the day than stand to do this. However when I have and did make the effort to do this at least 3 times a week at the beginning for about 6 weeks I did notice some difference to my flabby bits and they did seem to be getting more toned, however the results where not as quick or as good as I wished. This meant that my motivation to keep doing this reduced and the board is now gathering dust in the garage with some other exercise equipment. However I will in all likelihood get it back out after I have had our next baby to help me get some shape back when our new addition is having a nap. Overall ********** This is a handy piece of equipment that is small enough to be easily stored during the day. I am uncertain about the reflexology claims but I do like the lumps on the board as they help me position my feet correctly. The board can help you achieve some toning to the abdominal area especially I find at the sides however it isn't a quick fix option and definitely takes over a month to see noticeable results. To get better results you do need to continue using it longer which my motivation stopped me from doing. I bought this item from Amazon for around £10 however it is currently out of stock there but is available from other retailers for around the same price.
==Gold's Gym Magnetic Twist Board== I try to buy exercise equipment for my home that is relatively compact and cane be stores away easily and this particular item has got to be the smallest and easiest to store item that I own. I can't really remember how I came across this item as I don't think it was something that I had seen used before I purchased it on line but to those who haven't seen it before it is well worth reading on... The Gold's Gym Magnetic Twist Board costs around the £10 region from various online stores. I believe I purchased my from Amazon and found this to be the cheapest and most trustworthy place to buy from. The board is basically a small disc of about the same size as a dinner plate which is made up of a top and a bottom layer and thus giving it the ability to twist as you stand on it. There are feet sections clearly marked and lined with lumps and bumps including magnetic parts which will aid to sooth the feet as you exercise. I do believe that the magnets inside the gym board are also meant to help with the exercise and give a reflexology type of treatment too. The board is for helping to tone up and slim down the upper thighs, stomach and hips if done both correctly and regularly. The board itself has a nice appearance and although there is a sticker in the centre of the board which actually covers over a large bolt that holds the two plates of the board together and Jack has stuck his little chubby finger through it causing it to tear, it still doesn't look too bad. A good deal of balance is required to stand on the board as the feet need to be relatively close together to stand on the indicated foot section and thus do the exercise correctly. My size 6 feet just about fit on the board but overhanging of the feet does not matter but perhaps would make the exercise a little harder to do. The idea of the board is to stand on it with the knees slightly bent and then to simply twist the body side to side. This is not entirely as easy as it sounds and of course does make use of the muscles that the board is meant to help tone. The leg, abs and hips have to work hard to keep the momentum up in order to keep the swinging motion going but it really is a bit of fun too! The board is easy to use on any floor surface but of course has better grip on a rug or carpet due to the fact that it is made of a plastic material. This siad though it being plastic does make it easy to keep clean with a mere wipe of a damp cloth. I have to say that for a tenner this little board is a great item to have in the home. After continued use, I certianly noticed a difference in the appearance of my mid section and althogh I perhaps don't use it as much as I should, writing this review has made me think I will try and get it out a bit more. The fact that it is thin and small means that it is perfect for sliding under the sofa and not getting in the way too much! I have come across no faults when using this product and for the that reason alone it is worthy of a top 5 out of 5 star rating and a high recommendation. It is cheap, fun and it does work! Many thanks for taking the time to read. I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
