As part of my recent get fit fad that I am going through, I recently decided to purchase this Step Aerobic machine figuring that I could use it while I read my Kindle in my lounge; combining two interests at the same time!

It is small, compact but surprisingly heavy and basically requires you to step on and off each pedal, triggering the pistons to pump up and down. A computer display on the unit keeps track of how many steps you have taken, how many calories you have burnt off etc etc...

This is a great little device because you can work out without actually thinking about what you are doing and forgetting all about it (almost) while you do something else. My wife has used it watching telly and, like I say, I have used it whilst reading my Kindle for quite long periods of time. Though be warned.....your legs are seriously going to ache if you do this for too long and the experts DO recommend you consult your local Doctor if you are going to start doing A LOT of strenuous exercise!

One thing I have noticed is that, after extensive use, the pistons begin to hiss a little. Also the underside of this Stepper does get quite hot so please be careful and allow it to cool down a bit before you attempt moving it into a corner. Despite what I have read on Amazon, I find the computer display to be fairly accurate and have had no problems with it though I do tend to have to take its word for how many steps I have taken, calories burnt as what do I know about such things?!?

Personally, I really like this and though at £95 you can get cheaper brands and models, I bought this on a friends recommendation and so far I am very impressed! It fits nicely out of the way in a corner when its not being used, only to get pulled out when I decide I need a work-out. And the fact that I can combine this with my other interests only adds to its attraction!

This is definitely a good buy for me!
