      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      An ideal towel for excercise

Me and my Husband like to try and get up the gym about 3 times a week, we have been going to the gym now for several years and both have all the gym equipment we need.

Neither of us like spending huge amount of money on gym clothes and so on and tend to go to Sports Direct as here we can get everything we need for not much money at all.  During a recent trip to buy myself some new gym clothes I spotted the Lonsdale Trainers Towel, my husband always takes a towel with him to the gym as do I and I remembered that ours were starting to fall apart and look a bit worn, these seemed like ideal replacements and were very reasonably priced so I decided to purchase a couple whilst I was there.

These towels come in a small clear plastic cylinder, it is like a waterproof case that you can roll your towel up in when you take it to and from the gym, it has the name Lonsdale going the length of it in red writing and the whole thing is clear as I have said allowing you to see the towel inside.

The case is edged with white and has a white zip going around the top which allows you to easily put the towel in and out of the case.  Personally I don't take my towel up the gym inside the case, however it is handy to have.

The Lonsdale Trainers Towel is basically a mini towel a bit like a hand towel you would have in your bathroom, it is made from regular towelling material but it is much thinner than those you would use at home.

The towel is a rectangle shape and the whole thing is plain white including the white cotton edging that goes around the whole thing giving it a neat finish.  Towards the bottom of the towel is the Lonsdale logo consisting of a lion standing above the word Lonsdale, all of this is stitched directly onto the towel in bright red cotton apart from the L in the word Lonsdale which is in blue stitching, the logo really stands out against the plain white background.  The design of the towel is quite plain and simple but this didn't really bother me as I wasn't really after anything too fancy, just a towel that was absorbent and that I could use whilst up the gym.

The towel is in my opinion just the right size measuring 73cm x 44cm, for me it is not too big and bulky to carry around with me, but it is big enough to lay over the seat of the gym equipment should I wish to.

Our Lonsdale Trainers Towel get quite a lot of use and are washed several times a week so we needed something that was going to be hardwearing.  I have been very pleased with the quality of the towel, despite being washed frequently they still remain soft and have not gone hard like some towels can after being frequently washed, they have not gone dull either and still remain bright white as when we bought them, the stitching of the logo has not frayed either so all in all I have been very pleased with how these towels have worn despite the frequent use and washing.   Caring for the towel is simple, I just put it in a regular 30 to 40 degree wash with my other washing of a similar colour.

As I have mentioned I purchased my Lonsdale Trainers Towel from Sport Direct and it cost me just £5.99,  personally I thought this was an excellent price, some gym towels I have seen have cost a lot more than this.  I didn't want to spend too much on a towel for a gym but I was more than happy to this price for one.  In my opinion the towel is definitely worth the money as it is hardwearing and basically does its job.

We have been using our Lonsdale Trainers Towels up the gym for a while now and both me and my Husband have been pleased with them.  The towels are not too big and bulky to carry around the gym but they are absorbent and large enough to place over the seat of the equipment if you wish.

My Husband will often do a  long run up the gym and has been pleased with how the towel has allowed him to keep the sweat out of his eyes, there's nothing worse than a towel that just smears the moisture around rather than actually absorbing it.

I often use my towel to wipe down the equipment before and after I have used it and the towel is excellent for this and ensure that it is ready for the next person to use, we have wet wipe type things up the gym to clean the equipment with and the towel will quickly dry the seat after wiping it with these so the next person can use it straight away.

The towel is hardwearing and easy to care for, it is reasonably priced and in my opinion an excellent buy.  I would definitely consider purchasing another of these towels should mine ever need replacing and I would recommend it to anyone who requires a small towel for the gym or for whatever type of sport you play.
