... pink and grey. I'm not really much of a girly girl but I quite like the colour and design however I would prefer a more toned down colour option as I feel silly if I am wearing them on my ankles over my leggings or with shorts so I have to layer them under joggers. Although they aren't overlly bulky they do bulk out running pants and leggings and they look silly so unless you don't mind walking/jogging around with them on display you will need to wear them with loose fitting trousers such as trackie bottoms or joggers....more

I bought two packs of these around four months ago as I thought that they'd be ideal to wear while walking the dogs and running. I bought mine from eBay and paid £9.00 for each pack so I got four 3lb weights for under £20.00 - bargain! They are available from quite a few different retailers including Amazon, Woolworths, Very and so on and a pack of two 3lb weights retails at around £10.00. There's also a 5lb version available which are meant for your ankles but I find that the 3lb ones are heavy enough for me seeing as I wear mine on both ankles and both wrists. I usually wear them just on my ankles when I'm running as they make my arms feel tired after about ...  Read the complete review

Work Harder! (482 words)

As I had some high street vouchers to spend recently I invested in these and a balance ball (see my related review) from JJB Sports. These ankle or wrist weights were £12.99 and are available in either 3lb or 5lb variations. I chose the 3lb variety and am rather glad I did, the difference they make is unbelievable! Basically the idea is that you wear these while doing exercise and it makes you work harder as you are effectively carrying more weight. So far I have tried doing my regular interval training and a zumba class with them on. I can confirm that for the interval training it was indeed hard work and I could really feel the difference but it was ...  Read the complete review

Pineapple Ankle & Wrist Weights: Be just like Louis Spence. (512 words)

I was given a pair of Pineapple Ankle and Wrist Weights for a joke present by one of my girl friends when I told her I was taking up going to the gym again - and she said I needed them if I wanted to be like Louis Spence from Pineapple Dance Studios (who I think is fabulous!). But her joke backfired when I started wearing them on the treadmill and cross-trainer - and now I have lost 14 pounds more than her on our dieting competition. Ha! You can get a pair from JJB Sports for £12.99 which seems very reasonable as they will last you absolutely ages......forever probably. Because I'm a little weed I only have the 3lb weights which are plenty heavy enough for me ...  Read the complete review

I first bought my Pineapple wrist/ankle weights when I joined an exercise class. They are designed to help strengthen key muscles whilst you are working out. Whilst they are not designed to be heavy weights used to actually tone muscles alone, they do help when partaking in other forms of exercise such as running, jazzercise, aerobics and so on. I had read a bit about them and thought they would be a good idea to make my exercise class that little bit more challenging a swell as helping with general muscle strength. The weights themselves remind me of larger sweat bands, the ones I bought are pink and grey, however I am not sure if you can get them in ...  Read the complete review

As I do the most part of my exercise at home in front of a DVD my house is full of at home sports equipment a lot of which I use all the time so I thought as Sport is a high level these days I would try and write about some of the many products I and my mom owns. I basically got these "Pineapple Ankle & Wrist Weights" because a friend of mine bought loads of their exercise products not long ago and is always saying how great everything is so I thought Id test a few of them out for myself to see what I thought. Now I have to admit before buying these Id never used wrist or ankle weights before so I guess I didnt know what to expect but I have to say these ...  Read the complete review
