I bought this from a JJB shop for just under ten pounds. The board is round in shape and pink in colour. It came boxed with usage instructions and to be honest it sounded pretty self explanatory. You just place the board onto a level surface and twist it with your hips. The board helps to tone muscles and tighten abs. The board is pretty sturdy and durable. It's made of strong plastic and it features two "feet" designs that you use as guides to place your own feet. The board also features small magnets that aim to stimulate circulation. The board twists side to side and you twist it with your hips, which means no more love handles! The board is also great for toning the stomach and you can start to feel it working almost straight away. Don't be afraid if you start to ache at first - this is normal as your body will be working muscles it never knew it had! The board isn't too heavy in weight and it's not too big in size either so it can be stored pretty much anywhere. I keep mine under my bed. Another great thing about the board is that it isn't noisy, which means that it can be used whilst watching the television. I have noticed a significant difference since using this piece of fitness gear and it's helped me to lose a few inches around my waist - which is a good thing! It's great value and an easy way to work those abs!
I bought this Pineapple twist board from my Very catalogue for £10 a few months ago. I am constantly trying to find exercise which I enjoy and am forever buying the latest fad which has added up to quite a lot of money in the past few years. The reason I got this was because I had heard people raving about twist boards and it was cheap so I didn't feel as though if I bought it and didn't like it as I have done several times with other equipment I would be wasting too much money. The twist board is basically a disc that you stand on whilst twisting your body round to tone both your hips and abs. The Pineapple board has little nobbly bits on it which are actually magnets that are positioned to hit your reflexology points in your feet to aid circulation. Like most Pineapple products it really does look quite girly and is pink and black but I thought since I'd be using it in the house it didn't really matter since no one would be seeing me on it. I wanted a twist board mainly to work my ab muscles as I had heard that they were fantastic for this. I found getting the hang of the twisting was a little tricky especially as I don't have the best balance and I fell off the board more than a few times. The fact the board is quite small and my feet hung over the edges of it didn't help but I suppose it probably was designed for women in mind and not men with size 10 feet. I did finally manage to get the hang of it and was soon twisting away and to be honest I could feel it afterwards in my stomach muscles so I am sure it was doing something for them but I also could feel tension in my back whilst using it. As I am prone to a bad back I thought that since this was giving me twinges it probably wasn't the best exercise for me to be doing. I just wasn't impressed with this twist board and thought that it just seemed a bit cheap and flung together. That coupled with the fact that the twisting actually hurt my back meant that I didn't really enjoy using it and ended up giving it away to my sister who to be fair was much more impressed with it than I was.
Before I began running I was your typical faddy exerciser and was a sucker for the newest equipment that promised to tone, sculp and shape me fit. The Pineapple Twist Board was one such fad that I decided to visit. Toning and sculpting promised just for twisting, how bad could it be?? The twist board is a simple idea - 2 plastic discs held together on a pivoting middle with ball bearings to help with a smooth twist, all the user has to do is stand on the two feet areas on the pink top disc and twist their body to make the disc move. The top disc has two marked feet areas with reflexology magnest which are designed to "increase circulation as the massage points release tension from your feet and provide traction". Right. I didn't notice a difference with the magnets, or feel less tense. They actually annoyed me a little bit because they dug into my feet. The board also promises to tone abs and slim hips and thighs. Okay... Included in the box is a basic instruction booklet to give you tips on body positioning and the most effective way to use the board. To be honest, as long as your upper half remains facing forward and your lower half from the hips down twists, you should see results. I persevered for two weeks and used to do this exercise for 20 minutes each night if I could or 5 minutes if I was pushed for time. It works best on a wooden or hard floor surface so that the movements are smooth and you can balance easier. I didn't get the usual aches associated with doing a new exercise for the first time and stood quite happily watching TV whilst I used it. Once I'd done, I simply popped it under the bed and because of it's small and flat size/shape I could have easily stored it in the wardrobe or in one of the many storage boxes I seem to have. Priced at £10, I paid £8.50 after my Debenhams staff discount had been applied. I should point out that I probably only bought it because of the discount I got on it! You can buy identical products in different colours from different suppliers for less than half of the price of this one - even places like Poundstretcher and Home Bargains stock them. So I hear you ask, did it work? To be blunt - no. I imagine after a few months of doing this daily you might notice a marginal loss of centimetre's or even an inch but there are far more effective ways to tone up - you should try running, I wish I'd done it years ago! This is ideal for people who are perhaps restricted with exercies they can do but isn't something I would bother with if you are seriously looking to tone up and trim down.
The Pineapple Twist Board is another piece of low-tech fitness equipment that I picked up after reading some reviews that praised it, especially for toning up the hips and bum. It only cost me £8.50 from Amazon (which included delivery) and I feel this was an incredibly good price and an amount I was more than willing to pay if it means a slimmer middle! The board is circular and like a lot of Pineapple equipment it is pink and girlie and so I can't see any man wanting to use it, but for me and my daughter it's absolutely fine. Basically, its a round disc which you stand on - and then you swivel the disc round by twisting your hips and wiggling your bum. There are foot spaces clearly defined on the disc itself - and I've found that it is important to put your feet where the foot spaces are because otherwise I feel the board is slightly unbalanced. On the foot spaces, there are also grips and so even if you get carried away you're not likely to slide off - especially if you're wearing trainers. There are also "reflexology magnets" on the foot spaces which supposedly increase circulation and relaxation - but I'm not so sure about this effect in itself. When I'm using the disc, I do feel that my hips and bum are toning up - but it's also gentle exercise that you can do in front of the TV. I usually manage to stay on for about 10 minutes - and obviously the faster you manage to go then the better. I have found that my waist and bum is more toned. Although there is a booklet which gives you exercises to to do tone other areas of your body, I have to admit that I tend to stick to these areas with this piece of equipment because I find it a bit awkward to use on my arms etc. The only negative thing about this disc is that you can not alter the tension of the discs movement - and sometimes I think this would be advantageous. I've been using it for about 6 weeks and I have found that it's something that has added to my home fitness regime - and it's something I will continue to use. It's cheap, easy to use and does not involve any concentration or expertise to be able to use - and so I recommend it.
I think this is the last of my Pineapple sports equipment reviews that I have left to write and even though Ive given all the other products such glowing reviews I think this one is probably my favourite because it does work really well for me. I went a bit mad buying up pretty much the whole range of Pineapple stuff but this is the one I mainly focused on - I wanted it because it promised with regular use I would have toned hips something I really want! I wouldnt say I need to lose a lot of weight as Im a good size for my height but the love handles have got to go! They are the only thing that I feel isnt in proportion to the rest of my body and they stick out like a sore thumb so Im always doing exercises that promises to get rid of them - this is the first thing to ever work! Useful Information: Price: 9.99 Stockists: Amazon, Debenhams & JJB Sports. Other Info: The reflexology magents on this board (thats the little black bits on the foot shape!) are said to help improve circulation & release tension from your feet. This twist board is said to help: improve balance, tone your abs, slim down your thighs & hips & increase your circulation all at the same time. This may look like just a big, pink disc with feet on to most people but to me it is a miracle worker! To use you simply stand with your feet on the feet shapes and attempt to twist your body round with the disc using your arms - but even better try and do it using your ab muscles and stomach because Ive found it works even better that way and you dont pull any muscles or anything like that. I have to admit the first time I tried using this I almsot fell off a few times because it is quite tricky to get the balance right but after a few twists around you will soon get the hang of it! I love using this because even if you only use it for about 5 minutes it feels like your getting a proper workout. Having said that it is very easy and Ive never pulled a muscle using this but you can feel it working your ab muscles and your hips after just a few twists - I like using things you can actually feel working because then I know the results will be good after prolonged use. Its very comfortable and although Im not sure this has helped improve my circulation (Im not sure I had bad circulation to begin with) it has certainly helped my love handles slim down a little bit! They havent gone for good but they have gone down in size loads and Ive only been using this for about half hour a day while Eastenders is on LOL. Nothing has ever helped my hips slim down at all in the past until I found this and even though the fatty bits are still there they look so much better now and I think the longer I use this the better the results will be - Ive only been using it for about a month so far and the results have been amazing. I highly recommend this to everyone whos looking to slim down their hips/stomach a little bit because it really works and takes very little effort to use but you still get a really good workout. A fantastic product that Im very glad I bought! Thanks For Reading. x0 Salz 0x
Keen to shape up this summer and get rid of the baby bulge i decided to buy some pink pineapple equipment. JJb has a super range all nice pink and girly right up my street. I used to be a fitness freak before life got so busy i no longer had time to visit the gym so i knew the fitness equipment would not be a waste of money or a faze it seemed perfect working out in my own time at home. I have never used a twist board before so was keen to test it. The pink pineapple twist board cost only £9.99 from JJB sports shop. The twist board come with instructions that are easy to read and once i got the hang of it, it was a walk in the park. The board is pink with the pineapple logo on it. It is made from tough plastic , it is a round shape with two feet prints on it a left and a right. These have magnets and textured bumps on them. The board magnets is for reflexology like a feet massage whilst helping circulation. Standing on the twist board helps improve balance and strength and you twist from side to side as the board glides round helping my ab mussels, legs and my muffin top hips. The design of the board is slim small and compact does not require a lot of floor space to use. I have been using the board for a while now around 15 minutes every night , to start with i was in pain all over after the work out but has eased off, no pain, no gain as they say. I have already moved down a size in my jeans and i feel toned all over but still room for improving so will continue to use the twist board along with my other pineapple items. This really is a great exercise product and i think it is a good cheap price to pay. I recommend the pineapple twist board.
When I purchased my Pineapple Twist board I didn't really know what it was but I had purchased the rest of the Pineapple range and thought that it must do something worthwhile. I purchased it from JJB (again) and it cost £9.99. The Pineapple Twist Board comes in the trademark pink and black much the same as the other products in the range. It has the Pineapple logo embossed in the middle of the board and that is written in black. There are two plates which are shaped like feet that have little nobbles on them. I looked at this and my first thought was "Mmm, that looks uncomfortable!". The nobbles which were black were actually reflexology magnets and they are there to help improve circulation in massage points. The board is just big enough to stand and doesn't take up alot of room. You could even take it away with you if you wanted to tuck it into a suitcase. It is lucky there were instructions otherwise I really wouldn't have known what to do with this board. Through reflexology the magnets increase circulation as the massage points in your feet release tension from your and provide traction. It is supposed to allow you to twist your way to a slimmer figure and help you tone up abs, hips and thighs as well as improving your general circulation. I do really love this Twist board just as I have with all the other Pineapple items (apart from my flying thigh toner!). This is a nice and simple form of exercise and you are basically just twisting. And although it is only a simple movement, you do really feel your muscles starting to work. The first time I used this, I was used it for a good 30-40 minutes. I have found that you don't have to use it for that amount of time to feel it doing something. It is also great if you don't have a lot of time for a full work out. If I have run out time in the day and only have a spare 10 minutes, I whip the twist board out and have a go on it as I always feel my muscles starting to work. I have definately noticed a difference in my abs from using this. My stomach is starting to look and feel tighter and my thighs and hips have slimmed down alot. The Pineapple fitness regime is definately working for me! Recommended to anyone trying to get in shape but who wants to start off easily.
I've got to admit when i first purchased this Pineapple twist board i hadn't even heard of a Twist Board before and was a little uncertain as to what it actually was and what it does. Thankfully it came with clear instructions and is easy to use, and i now use it fairly regularly. So heres what i thought: *What Is It* The Pineapple Twist Board is a circular board (in the Pineapple signature colours pink and black of course) with reflexology magnets to help increase increase circulation. The Twist Board is small (just big enough to stand on) so its easy to store away and comes with a fitness guide so you know exactly how to use it correctly. *What Does It Do* The Twist Board uses principles of reflexology the magnets increase circulation, the massage points release tension from your feet and provides traction. The board is suppose to provide you with better balance as well as slimmer thighs, hips and toned abs. *Where To Buy* I purchased this twist bord from Debenhams on the sale, i cant remember the exact sale price but i think it was around £3. The Twist Board is now currently available from JJB Sports for £9.99 (Which for once i actually think is a reasonable price for this product LOL) *What I Thought* As with the rest of the Pineapple workout range i was very impressed with the appearance of the Twist Board as i love the pink and black colour scheme. I also found the fitness guide really easy to follow. When first using the Twist board it is easy to get carried away just having fun sitting on it and spinning around or balancing on 1 leg and seeing how fast you can go!!!. (I wouldn't recommend doing this in case you do break it though LOL). When i finally got around to doing some serious excercise i was equally impressed as its easy to use and after a few goes you can really feel it working on your muscles in your thighs and abs. I still currently use the board for around 10 or 15 minutes at a time and even after such a short amount of time you can feel your muscles working so its great for short bursts of excercise if you are strapped for time. I would definitley reccomend it!!!
