“ Fitness Equipment „
We've owned a little trampoline for many, many years. I actually remember when I was younger how I would use this trampette as a kind of brace to get onto my fully-sized trampoline I had as a child. Back then I didn't really use it for exercise but more for just general fun but now that I'm more consciously interested in keeping fit its nice to have around.
The trampoline is about 1m in diametre and stands on six legs with rubber stoppers. These mean that it doesn't slip easily and also that it can be a little awkward moving around if you attempt to push it across the floor, so its better to lift the trampoline up onto its side and roll it to the place you want to move it to. The caps are also useful for protecting the floor as it is made for inside use. The legs are about 20cms of the ground so you get enough height, but this isn't the kind of trampoline you would do any playing on, jumping really high, but you can still get a reasonable bounce. Assembly is really simple and was a case of just opening up the box and twisting on the legs to the main section. This also means that if you want to store it away again you can unscrew them, however I tend to just leave mine assembled as it doesn't really take up much more/less space with or without the legs. We used to leave the trampoline in the garden, because I said I used it when I was younger out in the garden, but that led to a leaking of oil (which I assume was present to coat the springs?) as the rain must've effected it poorly, however once I wiped that off its now perfectly fine and clean enough to store inside.
The springs are fairly quiet and hidden away under a plastic cover. This is always useful as sometimes I find myself slipping off the nylon middle if I get a little too into bouncing and it would hurt to catch my foot on the springs. The nylon centre is very strong and still hasn't worn despite years of use.
To use its simply a case of jumping up and down in a straight line. The exercise is surprisingly intense and afterwards I have been known to have 'jelly legs' if I go at it for a little too long without breaks. I can find myself getting bored as its a little repetitive however, so often I watch tv while jumping as the springs aren't so loud that I can't hear the tv over the sound of them. You can use the trampoline for running on the spot or doing star jumps other than just simple jumping to have some variety, but even then its still quite minimal in what you can do with it.
The maximum weight is 100kg and that is probably the only limitation I can think of for this particular trampoline. Obviously this means that if you are above this weight you can't use the trampoline safely, but this is the only real issue. Other than that safety is perfect in this trampoline. I've never really hurt myself other than to bash my shin across the side if I've left it out and that's probably my own fault lol.
We bought ours in Argos for between £30-40 if memory serves me right. The only problem I had in buying it was carrying it back to the car with my Mum as we bought it in store, but other than that there aren't really any issues with the price! I would recommend this trampette as its a good way to get an intense exercise in without having to go running round the block in the freezing cold which is about 3/4 of the year here. The trampette is sturdy and takes my weight easily so I don't feel uneasy on it, and once you get going its hard to stop. Its an excellent way to get in a short work out whenever you can squeeze it in, without having to afford the cost of a gym membership or go to too much trouble. The springs are pretty quiet as that's the only thing I could think would get annoying with this item, and the nylon deck is very strong and sturdy. We've had ours for years now and its still going strong, just a little rusted on the legs from when we stored it outside, but as an excluseively inside trampette, I'm sure it would've stayed looking as new for much longer. It doesn't take up too much space, and its good to have the option to take off the legs if you need to squeeze it into a tighter spot. However, twisting the lgs on and off can get a little annoying and can take as long as you will probably spend bouncing up and down, so I prefer to just leave mine. A good thing to have, even if you don't find yourself using it all the time, and at only circa £30 you can't really go wrong.
A few weeks ago I decided I seriously needed to get myself fit. Recently I have put on weight and lost the fitness I once had. In the past I've tried swimming, dancing and walking to get myself fit and slim. This time though I have opted for a slightly different approach. One of my friends has recently lost loads of weight and toned up big time, she told me the secret to the new her was a little trampoline she recently bought. She now spends 30 minutes a day bouncing up and down and getting herself fit. This sounded like quite good fun and so I decided to splash out and buy myself one of these.
I was told not to buy a cheap one of these. You can get them for around £30 but these tend to be poor quality and this means they are going to damage your legs and not last as long. So I decided to buy a Pro Fitness one which cost me around the £80 mark. To be honest that was a little more than I really wanted to pay but if it got me fit I was happy to spend the money.
The trampoline comes in a box and is extremely easy to put up, you just basically unfold it. You can fold it back up to store it but I tend to just leave it open as folding it back up is not easy. Once it is up the fun can begin. This is not the kind of trampoline you are going to be using for bouncing super high and doing flips and the like, however, you can still bounce quite high on it. The surface area measures about 40 inches and this is not really that big, but if you concentrate on your bouncing and don't get to silly you should have no problem staying in the middle.
I was surprised at just how good a work out this gives you. After just five minutes I was puffing and panting and when I came of the trampoline my legs were all shaking. The bouncing really tones your legs and your bums and strengthens your core muscles. It does not take long for you to really feel the benefits of this exercise. While bouncing you can do a few different moves to make it interesting and more difficult, so you can tuck your legs up, do star jumps, turn around and a few other things. Another option is to jog on the trampoline which feels quite odd but gives you a good work out.
I've been using this now for little over a week. I can tell this is a very good trampoline and will last a good long time. Even for indoor use it does not make as much noise as you would expect and it does not vibrate the floor much at all which surprised be somewhat. Although it's still early days I can feel my fitness level start to increase and I'm hoping that I will be able to stick it out on this and really lose some weight and tone up. If you looking for a different way to get yourself into shape then this could well be for you.

About the product?
The product promises to improve your strength, balance and general fitness. It is essentially a mini trampoline so it won't be for any of the budding gymnasts out there but it is the right size for bouncing and running. As well as increasing your fitness, it also promises to improve your muscles tone in your legs, bum and stomach, boost your circulation and give you more energy.
The trampoline is made from heavy duty nylon and it is waterproof so you could keep it as an outdoor product if you so wish. It has a diameter of 92cm and it is quite low on the ground only being 20cm in height. The maximum user weight is 16 stone.
Packaging and Appearance
The product comes contained with a big box. The trampoline part is already assembled. All you have to do it attach the legs by screwing them into the provided holes which is actually really quick and easy to do. It also makes it easier to store the product if you don't want it on show all the time and I usually remove the legs and slide it under my bed. The product is silver and black, which the material part being black and the edging and legs being silver. It looks attractive and it has V-Fit written in the middle of the trampoline.
The product will cost you around £20. I bought mine from Argos but I don't think they sell it there anymore. It is available from a range of online websites so shop around in order to get a better deal.
The product is simple and quick to assemble. The bottom of the legs have rubber grips on them so I can use the product on the wooden floor without worrying about it slipping. The trampoline is low on the ground and although you do initially worry about jumping without holding onto something, you get used to it. The trampoline isn't very actually bouncy at all but it is bouncy enough to serve the purpose. You can jump really fast without your feet touching the floor beneath the trampoline. It feels completely secure and safe, and you don't fell like it will break beneath you.
It does creak a little bit with each jump so it can sound a little bit like you are getting up to something else which is a little bit embarrassing!! If you run on the trampoline or jump, it doesn't take long to get out of breath and you can tell it is doing you good. You can try and do tuck jumps to make it more intensive and it gets you really warm quite quickly. This little beauty has saved us plenty of money on the heating bill. It has made me more toned and it's made me feel healthier. It is definitely fun and it encourages me to exercise more. I've had mine for a very long time and it is just as good a condition as the day I bought it.
All in all, this is a fun and interesting way to exercise. It is easy to assemble and use, and it feels completely safe and secure to use. It's simple to store under the bed or behind a cupboard and it has definitely toned my legs and made me a little bit fitter. I would happily recommend this product.
My mum bought this for me around five years ago, if not longer and me and some of my family members have used it so much that it's looking very worse for wear now! It is still useable but quite noisy and some of the springs have come away from the material slightly which is always a bit of a worry as they're quite sharp.
I have no idea how much my Mum paid for this but I remember that she got it from Argos. The current retail price is around the £30.00 mark depending where you buy it from which in my opinion is a reasonable price and if you look after it (eg don't make the mistake of lending it to two hyperactive kids like I did) it will stay in pretty good condition.
I have the black and silver version of the trampette but it is also available in red and black and blue and black. Mine says 'V-Fit' in white writing in the middle and it is identical to the dooyoo picture, but the branding has changed and the more recently made ones say 'pro fitness' - not that it effects the product or anything, I just thought that it was worth mentioning. The trampette is round with six sturdy legs holding it up. It's a few inches off the ground so it feels safe when I am stood on it. It is a good size and there is enough space to do star jumps and running on the spot etc.
The silver material around the trampette is made of a thick pvc type of material which is starting to come a bit loose and the black bouncy part is made from nylon. It is strong and doesn't dip when I stand on it and when I bounce on it there isn't much resistance. I am eight stone and it has a maximum user weight of around seventeen stone meaning it's very strong. It is easy to jog on as it feels secure and strong under my feet and although I used to bounce up and down on it for ten minutes or so to get my heart pumping fast I find that the noise gets on my nerves and even when I have music blasting out of my earphones I can still hear it.
I used to use mine indoors and outdoors but now that I rarely use it I just keep it in the garage. This stayed in good condition for a good four and a half years or so until my cousin's two little ones spotted it. Seeing as I wasn't using it much I lent it to them and a few weeks later it came back in a right state; what they did to it I don't know but the springs were coming loose and nearly sticking out of the pvc. It's a shame because I did enjoy using this and it was an easy, low intensity work out which was actually quite fun and I am considering buying another one.
Overall this is pretty good quality and great value for money - it lasted me for over four years with regular use. It is important to take care of it though and use it properly else you will end up with an unuseable trampette. Even before it broke it was very loud as well which I found annoying.
I have had this trampette (mini trampoline) for about 6 years now and it is still in the same condition as when I first got it - not through lack of usage I might add!! These V-Fit trampette's currently retail for about £30-£40 depending on where you buy from. Tescos online sell it for £30 with £5 delivery and Very.co.uk sell it for £39 with free delivery. Although I don't use mine every day I use it fairly frequently as it is much nicer to be able to do my jumping in the privacy of my own home.
The trampette comes in a silver/black colour scheme. The springy area which you jump on is black and the outer ring and legs are silver. This has been manufactured really well and is incredibly sturdy. You have to fasten the legs yourself once purchased but they are very easy to secure and it's a good idea as they can also be removed if you want to store it away somewhere as it is flatter. The legs screw on and off quite easily but when you put them on you need to make sure they are properly fitted on for safety reasons. The whole piece of equipment is fairly heavy but not too heavy so that you can't move it. Although an elderly person or someone with back problems might not be able to move it very easily.
There is a slight creaking noise when you jump on it but not so loud that it distracts or annoys you, but you can hear it with each jump. I personally watch TV whilst using it so I don't find the creak distracting when I'm on it.
The trampette has reamined in a good condition, no damage is showing and no general wear and tear either which is good. It has been a good investment as it has served its purpose well.
Just recently, I've been paying a bit more attention to my health and fitness. With my wedding approaching, followed by a two week honeymoon (BIKINIS AARGH!), I've been trying to tone up a bit and make sure I don't put on weight with all this cold weather comfort eating. I love my food too much to diet, and I can't afford a gym membership, so I've resorted to little things such as dancing on the Nintendo Wii, and using this trampette.
To be honest, I've had this trampette a while, and it's one of those items which got stored in the basement when we moved into our house and got forgotten about. The other week, I dug it out and had a go on it, to try and incorporate it into my evening routine a few nights a week. I'd forgotten how much fun this was to use, and how easy it is to do it in front of the TV so there really is no excuse not to do it as you won't even miss your evening viewing time!
The trampette I have was bought for me by my parents as a Christmas present one year when I was going through a bit of a health and fitness fad. Searching round online, it currently retails at Argos for £29.99, which I think is about average for a trampette of this size.
The one I have is black with grey foam going round the circumference, to protect the springs and stop you getting your foot caught in them whilst you're jumping. The trampette is very easy to set up, it comes with six legs which simply screw into the base of the trampette. I did worry the first time I did this whether it would be sturdy, but it really doesn't take long before it starts feeling secure. The legs also have rubber protectors at the bottom which is useful if you're going to be using it on a wooden floor or tiles as it stops any movement as you're jumping.
The trampette is very easy to use, I'm sure nobody needs to read the instructions to realise what you're supposed to do on it! You can jump up and down, do star jumps, or use it to jog on. It's a fun way to burn a few calories, especially as you can plonk it in front of the TV and watch your soaps or whatever. It's quite intense though and you can't really alter the intensity of it so it only gets used in our house in short bursts and then I tire quite quickly.
The trampette is perfectly safe to use, I've never had any issues with injuries or falls, obviously you have to be careful where you place it as bouncing up and down can spell danger for light fittings and chandeliers, but generally it's a safe form of exercise. According to the Argos website, there is a weight restriction of 100kg for the maximum weight to be used on this item.
The legs do unscrew off the trampette, so if you're struggling for storage space you can dismantle it each time. The only problem with this is that it probably takes as long to put it back together as it does to do your exercise, so this would put me off using it. At the moment, we have a spare room downstairs which is used for storing things, so I just stick it in there. It doesn't take up too much space really, it would fit in an understairs cupboard or under the bed with the legs taken off.
I do love my trampette as it's a fun form of exercise which reminds me of my childhood and all those parties you'd go to as a kid and the trampoline was the most exciting thing you'd ever seen. It's easy to use, easy to set up, doesn't take too much room to store, and is good value for money in my opinion.
It Was Only 3 months a go that i purchased this £25 product from Argos but boy has it helped my weight loss effort. , purely because my feet hurt when jogging on solid ground and a treadmill was far to expensive and wouldnt fit in my house. It was suggested to me by my mums friend and she told me she has lost lots of weight on it and makes all of your body work hard.
When you first take it out the box it does take a little while to set up but it mainly consist of screwing in legs. The main black part of the trampoline is strong so maximises your leg work during the excercise session. The Grey Trim which covers up the big bouncy springs is a nice touch and adds to the attractiveness of the trampoline. The strong legs have small rubber parts on the bottom to stop slipping. Its very strudy and can be picked up with minimum effort.
The Product gives your legs a lovely workout when jogging due to the resistance of the main body. The noisy springs are quite of putting though so i wouldnt reccomend listening to anything on the tele whilst working out. I Reccomend reading the booklet on different workouts as it is really helpful.
I would recommend this to anyone who finds outdoor jogging sore on the feet and anyone who may want to use a excercise component in multiple rooms. The Only of putting thing is the constant sound from the springs.
I bought my Pro-Fitness Jogger Trampette a couple of years ago when I started my health and exercise regime but didn't want to join a gym as I didn't want to go on my own, so exercising at home was a good option. I paid £28.99 for my trampette but they can be bought at Argos now for £24.99 and at other sports shops for around the same price.
They come boxed and are easy to assemble, just screw in the legs tightly and your ready to jog or bounce or step on the trampette to get your daily exercise.
These are quite sturdy little trampolines and can be stored away easily by unscrewing the legs and shoving in a cupboard or under the stairs in my case until you need them the next time,.
I find they are a little too big to leave hanging around the house everyday, but if you have a gargen and it's nice weather they you can take it outside and step or bounce around in the garden.
It is 92cm in diameter and is great for the heart and for the legs and getting the circulation going, I used to use mine everyday and did enjoy the excersise but I must admit this is one piece of exercise equipment that has been left under the stairs for a while now as it is large and I now do a lot of yoga on a mat indoors which is more of a gentle exercise.
Having said that the grandchildren like to drag this out in the summer into the garden and love playing on it, so I keep it stored away, but it is something you easily get bored of unless your really dedicated at your execise plans.
On the down side of this the springs do make a loud squeaking noise as your stepping and jogging on it, so this can be a little annoying. I did put WD40 on mine one time and it helped a little but you can still hear it slightly, so it's now left for a toy for the grandchildren.
I must say though they are all over ten years old as it's not suitable for younger children as they can fall off them easily, if unsupervised.
So this was good at the time and the price was not too bad to pay, the quality is good as it is a strong trampoline and has lasted well, but the novelty has just worn off for me.
I have always been keen on fitness but my busy life stops me getting to the gym witch has always been an obsession however i do have a nice collection of home exercise equipment. I am reviewing the pro-fitness trampette today.
I have had the trampette for a good few years now and was one of the first bits of exercise equipment to find its way into my home, all thanks to argos having a sale on as i only paid £19.99 for the pro-fitness trampette. The pro-fitness trampette can still be bought at this price from argos and homebase.
The pro-fitness trampette comes flat packed in a large brown box. When i say flat packed the trampette base is ready built but you do have to attache the legs. It comes with instructions , these are easy to read and follow. I put the legs on the trampette myself because they just screw into the base and that's it simples ready to use.
The trampette takes up a fair bit of room so i store it under my bed fits perfectly under there. It is low the the floor, measures around 14 inches from floor to base of the trampette. It is around 34 inches in diameter.
Pro-fitness trampette is a mini trampoline and has a sturdy steal frame but the edges are covered with a padded grey mat coving the frame and springs. The mat also very strong made from thick nylon. Amazingly the trampette takes the maximum weight of 15 stone.
Pro-fitness trampette is to me a mini trampoline and requires bouncing like the trampoline does however unlike a trampoline the trampette is firm and hard to bounce on making muscles work hard.
It simply works by bouncing in the middles of the trampette up and down this gets the heart going and starts working on the legs and bum muscles.
Not only does the trampette work out the legs and bum area and helps tone these muscles but its good for the whole body. It helps to decrease fat, stress , cholesterol, and lowers blood pressure so its good for those people that suffer these problems.
I have suffered from asthma all my life and as a teenager the doctor recommended a trampette to help increase oxygen going in and out of my lungs. By building my time up on the trampette over a few months i did feel my lungs had improved and less asthma attacks occurred however this was when my asthma was under control with the help of medication too but having tired it i would recommend the trampette to asthmatics too.
At the time i bought the pro-fitness trampette to help tone my muscles and part of a weight loss regime i was on. I still use the trampette everyday for fifteen minutes. I like the trampette because i can use it in the living room and bounce without having to think to much about what i am doing. I always build up a sweat and my legs feel tight afterwards meaning its working the muscles real hard.
The only niggle i had was the springs used to squeak like mad very annoying but i did put some wd40 oil on them never had that problem since.
I think the pro-fitness trampette is a great piece of equipment sure to give a gentle cardiovascular workout with great results for toning the muscles.

I bought myself the Pro- Fitness Trampette a couple of years ago from Argos as I was keen to do a bit of jogging but didn't necessarily want to have to face the British elements and a treadmill was out of my price league. My friend suggested I get a mini trampoline as she found it worked her a lot harder compared to jogging meaning that she didn't have to be working out for a long period of time to feel her heart racing. I bought my trampette for under £20 at the time but now they're £24.99.
There's a bit of assembling when you get it out of the box but nothing too hard, simply screw in the six metal legs and you're ready to go. The main body of the trampoline is black with the pro fitness logo and is 92cm in diameter. With a push there doesn't seem to be much resistance but once you get bouncing it does give a little, making any work out harder work. The bouncing mat in the middle is attached to the metal frame using big springs which are covered over with a red trim, making it safer and look a bit nicer. As I mentioned before the legs are made of metal, they also have black rubber feet so they don't slip around on hard surfaces or make any permanent marks on carpet. All in all it's a sturdy piece of equipment, having said this though it's incredibly light weight and easy to carry around. The maximum weight limit is 100kg or 15 stone 10, however my brother weighs more than this and he's used the trampoline on quite a few occasions.
The Pro- Fitness Jogger Trampette is described as a general toning exerciser for improving core stability. When using, I mainly start by just bouncing up and down a bit and then start jogging, which is a lot harder than just jogging normally due to the resistance involved. I usually use the trampette in front of the tele, but it is quite noisy as the springs start to creak and this does put me on edge a little bit but there's never been any falling through the middle incidents. I find myself getting a good work out using the trampette, it really gets your heart rate up which is the best thing you can do. I find the next day I know I've been exercising, the calves feel strengthened and I generally feel a bit better. There is a booklet on different things to do on the trampette although I haven't tried any of these there are various DVD's and books about to heighten your trampette work out.
I would recommend the Pro- Fitness Jogger Trampette to anyone looking for an easy way to get in some cardio without having to pay a fortune. Its very light weight so can be moved from room to room and is very sturdy, however, the noisy springs do worry me a bit when I'm jogging. The work out opportunities, with a little research I'm sure are limitless but for me my trampette is just for jogging.
Last year, I was given a mini trampoline as a gift, and these are also known as trampettes! I am not too sure why they are called this, but hey it works so why mess with it right? The one I was given is the Pro-Fitness Jogger Trampette and it can be bought from Argos for just under £20.
It is silver around the outer edge, and the inner part, which you bounce on, is black. The legs, are sturdy and are also silvery/gray. Each leg has a rubber cap on the end, so that it will not damage carpets or floors, no matter where you choose to use the trampette. These rubber caps also provide extra grip, so if you use the trampette on laminate or hardwood floors, you won't have to worry about the trampette slipping and sliding across the floor.
I have found that this fits nicely in to the corner of my living room when it is not in use, and being so light, I can easily move it around to any where I wish to use it. I usually place it in front of the TV when I use it, so I can workout whilst watching TV and this helps to make the time go quicker. I have used this trampette for many different workouts, the main one being a slow jog. I found that it works my legs a bit harder to jog on the spot on a trampette than it would to jog on the spot and I like to know that I have worked harder.
The trampette makes it easier on my knees when I jog on it, as it takes a lot of the pressure off the joints. I feel that it makes my leg muscles work harder, and I also use this with a few of my workout DVD's as the extra bounce adds an extra element to the workout. I find that I have a higher heart rate and I sweat more when I do workouts on the trampette.
When I had my knee injury and needed rehab, I was told that the trampette would be a good thing to use to help me slowly build some strength and muscle in my knee. It was an easy way to work my leg each day, and I managed to get my leg up to a good strength.
The trampette is really sturdy, and no matter how much I have bounced on it, it has never even seemed to be slacker. It has managed to withstand a lot of weight, and some of the heavier people in my family have used this trampette and it is still as sturdy and as tight as the day I got it. Even my young niece enjoys this trampette. She is 18 months old, and she enjoys using the trampette as a mini trampoline (which it essentially is)
There are DVD's available of Trampette workouts, so you can choose in which way you want to use this for your workouts. I think most people would enjoy using one of these as part of their workout. It is a good way to add an extra element to working out, and get better results quicker. It also adds a bit of fun to a workout and anything that makes working out easier is a good thing in my book.
The trampette is really easy to clean, just with a damp cloth and a small out of washing up liquid. Dust and dirt do build up on this, so it will need a clean every now and then. It only takes a couple of minutes to clean it, and is really easy to do, so this is no hassle and no problems to do.
If you are looking to add a bit of fun or extra results to your daily workout, then I recommend the Pro-Fitness Jogger Trampette. You can buy these in Argos for just under £20 and I found that this is a great trampette to own and use at home. I give this trampette a 5 out of 5 stars, and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
As part of the family fitness drive I decided to buy one of these mini trampolines (or trampette as it is more correctly known) from Argos late last year. The kids had originally wanted one of those big massive ones for the back garden, but the wife and I thought that trying to do your fitness routines and workouts in your 'skimpies' in the back garden in the middle of winter was not going to be a good idea. And anyway, what would the neighbours say?
In the end we reached a compromise and bought this for just under £20 using a lot of Nectar points that we had saved up (I knew they would have a use one day!!). The other thing that drew us towards this trampette was the fact that there were over 50 reviews of it at the time on Argos, where it was averaging just short of 5 out of 5 stars. So with that sort of recommendation, and for the price, it should be an absolute bargain.
Out of the box, there are 6 legs to attach to the top circular framework which is a straightforward screw fitting. Each of the legs also has a rubber end fitting to ensure it doesn't slide around on the floor when in use. The framework itself is quite heavy duty, where the nylon mat bit in the middle is attached to it using a number of heavy duty springs. There is also a protective padded circular PVC cover that covers the frame and the gap between the frame and the mat filled by the springs. Overall,it does feel to be quite sturdy.
The thought was that it would be small and compact enough so that we could use it in the comfort of our own home, and to that extent, it is a nice manageable size. Once assembled, the whole thing is quite compact - 92 cm diameter by 17 cm high - and also very light weight so that you can easily move it for storage.
Exercise wise it is classed as a general toner exerciser (meaning an all over general workout) and is a very good cardiovascular exerciser (in plain English that means exercising your heart and circulatory systems). Suitable for all ages, the maximum weight limit is 100 kg.
In use, it does become a bit addictive. Our Nintendo Wii actually took a 'back seat' for a few weeks whilst the kids tried to learn new moves and things to do with this trampette. (My son now thinks he understands how Superman flies - he just has a great big trampette to bounce him up into the sky and over tall buildings!!!).
When I've used it, you quickly find that the range of exercises that you can do becomes extremely limited. Initially, it is only a small area that you have to bounce on - so back flips, tumbles and V sits are all out of the question!!! So it then becomes a bit of a challenge to try and improvise on either straight bouncing techniques (with feet together) or running techniques (running on the spot). Now this trampette is primarily for use with the running on the spot technique (hence the name 'Jogger' - the clue is in the title).
When I was using it initially, it became a bit of a routine every other day, where I would often set it up in front of the TV and just start to jog on it. In use, it does feel quite sturdy and safe, although the springs do creak a little at times. The trampette does give you a very springy step, and initially I thought it would be fairly easy, but after a while you do appreciate that this thing is actually giving you a good workout, and the next day I could feel the effects of that workout.
In summary, for the money, it is very good. Compact and easy to store, it is ideal for using in your home and will give you a fairly good workout. But I think this would probably be more aimed at the casual fitness training area rather than the more serious fitness fanatic's arena. Either way, your kids will love it.

I used to be a bit of a gym fiend until I had my two children but since then I have found it extremely difficult to get to the gym on a regular basis. That is why these days you will find me exercising at home - mainly on my trusted treadmill but sometimes I like to ring in the changes and do something a bit different. One of the things I now use on a fairly regular basis is my Pro Fitness trampette which I was lucky enough to get for free from a very generous Freecycler who told me that she had bought it on impulse but never used it! If I had bought it though, it would have cost me £19.99 from Argos - a price I would have been happy to pay!
When you get the trampette you have to attach six legs to the round bit that you bounce on. This is a really easy procedure that just consists of you screwing them on as tightly as you can. It doesn't take much for them to feel really secure and for the trampette to feel very steady. Once it is assembled the trampette has a diameter of 92 centimetres and probably measures about six inches off the floor. It is very light and portable which means that it can easily be used in different rooms in the house and even in the garden in the summer if it isn't raining!
It is quite smart looking with a black base and some silver coloured protective plastic around the edge. The base feels quite taut and as it is only a few inches off the ground it does mean that you are not going to be jumping very high on the trampette. It is advised that it is for low impact cardiovascular workouts. In fact in the Argos catalogue it is described as an excellent indoor cardiovascular and general toning exerciser This makes it quite suitable for a variety of ages and my five and seven year old daughters really enjoy having a go on it. The only restriction is a weight one as people who weigh over 100 kg (15 stone 10 pounds) should not use it. I generally like using it but only for short bursts as I tend to get a bit bored even though there are a variety of exercises that I try on it that involve both jogging and bouncing. After about five to ten minutes I generally feel like I have had a reasonable workout to complement the other exercise I do. I don't think that I would want to rely on the trampette for my only source of exercise.
The trampette does not take up much space but it is also a bit tricky to store away without removing the legs which is a pain. Also, if I had to screw the legs on every time I would be less likely to use it. So, for that reason, I tend to just lean it up against our conservatory wall when I am not using it and it really does not get in the way.
Overall this is a really useful piece of fitness equipment especially if you don't have much room and you don't want to spend a fortune. It can be used little and often and you will soon notice a difference in your fitness levels. For £19.99, it is definitely recommended.
As you will see from other reviews I have various bits of exercise equipment around the house that I have collected over the years. One of these is the Pro Fit Jogger Trampette. I bought it to use for a cardio workout at home as an alternative to going up the gym, or if I'm feeling very energetic as well as going to the gym. I was a little unsure at first about the Pro Fit Jogger as I was unsure as to whether I would get much use out of it as well as being concerned about using it, I'm not the most balanced person ever, however even I can use the Pro Jogger without falling off, and recommend it as an excellent form of exercise to anyone.
The Pro Fitness Jogger comes flat packed so some assembly is required, however this is minimal and basically consists of screwing the legs onto the top part of the trampette, it literally takes a few minutes and it is ready to use, you do need to make sure that the legs are screwed on properly before using it to prevent any nasty or embarrassing accidents. The top part (the part you bounce on) is circular in shape and measure 92cm diameter. The edge is slightly padded just to stop you from injuring yourself if you get a little to close to the edge, this is a bright blue in colour, the centre part which is the area you bounce on is black and had the words Pro Fitness written in white lettering across the middle of it, this is attached to the frame. The legs which screw onto the frame are sliver and have black rubber feet on the ends of them, this helps to stop the trameptte from moving and slipping about when using it, it also means that you could use the trampette on a tiled floor without fear of it sliding from under you.
The Pro Fitness Jogger is a little hard to store as it does not fold up, however if you do want to store it flat you could always unscrew the legs each time you want to put it away, however this is slightly annoying especially when you have got to sit and screw all the legs back onto it when you wish to use it, personally I leave mine in one piece and keep it in the garage, if I had one problem with it, it would be that it is slightly bulky to store.
Who Can Use the Pro Fitness Jogger
Basically anyone, it is suitable for people of all ages and can hold a maximum weight of 100kg which is 15stone 10lbs. The tramette is also an excellent item for children to use in order to get them up and active and to keep fit, whilst children may be better with a trampoline designed for children or one that is slightly larger, the benefits are the same for children as they are for adults. The trampette is something they can have fun on whilst exercising. Whilst I think this particular item is more aimed at adults it is actually described as being suitable for all ages so could actually be used by children.
How to Use the Trampette
Using the Pro Fitness Jogger is very simple, despite my original concerns. If you have never done this form of exercise before it is best to start of slowly and get your balance. It is advised that you start of by bouncing on the trampette but without actually taking your feet off of the surface, this will help you to get use to using the trampette without losing your balance, this is how I started off and after just a couple of goes I quickly felt more confident at using my trampette. Rather than going straight into a full workout, build up slowly by gradually taking your feet, I found this helped as it increased my stability on the trampette and gave me the confidence to start combining arm movements with leg movements without the worry of losing my balance and falling off or bouncing over the edge. Once you have built up your confidence on the trampette you can really do what you like on it, you can combine arm and leg movements, or even use a workout video with the trampette, or if you are a bit short of time you could jog/ bounce on the trampette ot get a quick workout in. I find that you only need to use the pro fitness jogger for a short amount of time, whilst I do use it for longer workouts, you can even feel the benefits of it after a short amount of time.
Benefits of Using a Trampette
There are many benefits of using a trampette such as the Pro Fitness Tranpette when exercising, such as -
Balance - Trying to stay in one place on the tramepette ca be difficult, by concentrating on this you will become aware of even the slightest movement that can alter your balance, by trying to do this as you work out you will improve your bodies overall balance
Co-ordination - Your co-ordination will also benefit from working out on the trampette, as you become more experienced at using the Pro fitness jogger you can gradually try different moves and combinations of moving your arms and legs together as your workouts become more advanced. Over time this will help to improve you overall co-ordination
Cardiovascular Fitness - Whilst bouncing on the trampette your pulse rate and heart rate will increase, over time this will strengthen all the muscles used to keep your whole cardiovascular system healthy and in good condition.
Bone Density - Bouncing on the trampette is a low impact workout but puts your bones under just enough strain to help them build in strength, the pressure they are put under is not enough to cause any damage, but over time your bone strength will increase which will help to prevent osteoporosis or general fractures of the bones.
Low Impact Sport - Bouncing on the trampette is seen as a low impact sport as previously mentioned, this form of exercise is much better for you than running or jogging for example as there is so much give in the trampette surface that there is very little pressure put on your joints reducing injury or joint problems caused by prolonged impact from a hard surface. This would be an excellent form of exercise for those who cannot run or perform certain exercises due to the impact on their bones/ joints as you can make your workout as vigorous or as gentle as you like.
Lymphatic Circulation - Bouncing on the trampette can cause very quick periods of weightlessness where you experiences periods of higher G forces than average, this helps the body to get rid of toxins, whilst it is not as good as a proper detox it will help to reduce any toxins which may have been breathed in through the mouth or nose.
Personally I have found my trampette to be very hardwearing, it has had a lot of use and is showing no signs of wear and tear, it is still in excellent condition despite being use numerous times. I have used the trampette for quite vigorous workouts and it has definitely stood up to the test, I have had no problems with the legs coming loose or any of the springs going. All in all it is a very well made and a very durable piece of equipment.
I purchased my Pro Fitness Jogger from Argos and it only cost me £19.99 which I think is a very reasonable price. I have seen similar items in various other shops and although the price does vary a little from what I have seen they are generally retailing around the same sort of price. Personally I think it is worth the money as it is of an excellent quality and very hardwearing.
Other benefits of using the trameptte as part of your exercise regime is that it helps to burn off calories and generally tone your body. I have only been using my trampette for a few weeks so have not seen any real benefits from it, however I have noticed that with practise I have greatly improved, and the amount of time I can use the trampette for has also greatly increased. They say that using a trampette is a low impact form of exercise and personally I have to agree with this, whilst I really feel like I have had a good workout afterwards I do not feel any discomfort in my joints which can sometimes happen when running on a hard surface for example. I will definitely continue to use my trampette as part of my workout, personally I do not find it a substitute for the gym and I will continue to visit the gym regularly however it is very useful if for some reason I am unable to get to the gym, I can have a good cardio workout in my own home. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I must admit I have a tendency to buy a lot of exercise equipment that never really reach the true potential that I set for them. This trampette was an item that I had always fancied buying due to seeing people use it in films and on tv it really did look like jumping up and down would help me lose some weight. Afraid to say that it was never to be!
This cost me 40 euro in Argos after a health fix diet. I wanted something I could use at home while I watched the soaps and this seemed ideal. It was less expensive than a treadmill anyway. It stands on six legs and has a silver guard circling the steel for protection.
I used it for approximately two weeks before I feel over trying to text, watch tv and jump up and down all at once. I twisted my ankle as a result and this trampoline for little people quickly was shoved under the stairs as yet another mark of my poor athletic capabilities.
Since having my daughter I have dug it out for a bit of light exercise but now my two year old gets more of a kick out of this than I do. It is resident in the toy room along with her own baby trampoline.
I wouldnt recommend this instead of a baby trampoline and if my daughter goes near it I always watch her like a hawk and I know in my experience its not the safest of jumping mechanisms.
It doesnt take up too much room and can turned on its side for easy storage. Make sure you use without shoes as it can get quite grubby. I liked using it for a bit of light exercise and I think it would be good for someone who doesnt have time to exercise or isnt too fit. I wouldnt advise you to multi task while keeping fit though!
