You would think from my recent mistake of paying very little for a exercise mat and it literally ending up as rubbish I would have learned but nope I carried on with naive buying. I was in Sainsbury's when I came across this exercise mat. It cost £6 and from first glances looked perfect it looked a lot longer than the Argos mat and felt better made. So I decided on buying it.

As described above it is made from foam is 150 cm long 60 cm wide and 0.6 cm thick. Now when I got it home I began to use it around an hour later after my hard workout out part of my dvd we moved on to our mats for our stomach exercises. It was easy to unroll just 2 elastic bands to remove but the mat did stay a little curved as I lay it on the floor.Once I lay on it and it was OK it did uncurl but as you roll it up each time to store it for around the first 5 minutes of using it you are fighting to flatten the corners.

It stays still while I'm using it and does provide a little protection but on my laminate floors it just does not live up to what I need however when I use it upstairs with my Wii it does seem to work a lot better on carpet and providing a little comfort. I have now had the mat for around a month and after being used solely upstairs now for around 20 minutes a day it is showing signs of wear and tear the mat itself seems to have little worn down patches on it.

After using it about 6 times I came to the conclusion it was ok for doing exercises on but personally I needed something a little thicker as I spend a lot of time working on rebuilding my stomach muscles and therefore use my mat a little more for abdominal exercises. I think I just need a thicker mat as I hate being uncomfortable while already working hard to do my exercising as I spend a lot of time trying to rebuild my abdominal muscles I promise myself that with the next mat I will invest in something a little more expensive but until I come across one this will do for now. It is an OK value mat but nothing amazing and i would not purchase it again personally.
