Disadvantages: Too expensive, not much improvement
I am a regular gym goer but have always hated my arms. I do weights at the gym but it takes a lot of time to see any results. when I saw the shake weight advertised on television and saw that u could see results by doing just six minutes a day I decided I would try it. The first thing I thought when I opened the packet was that I'd paid too much for what I'd got. It was essentially just a plastic weight with spring mechanisms and I though around £25 was too much for what it was. You do get a video with it though which is really useful and easy to follow and means you can maximise your work out by not looking in a booklet for half the time. But i used the weight for weeks and weeks and didn't particularly see an improvement. I didn't ache which is one of the main indications of how muscles are changing. I think with exercise it's what you put in as to what you get out and with the shake weight you can't really improve as its one weight and workout every time.
Summary: Would be better just doing normal weights
