      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I purchased twist & shape stepper after seen remarkable advertisement on TV, I was so happy that it will make me fit. No manual provided with this unit and no assistance .. I could not find any way to adjust its hardness. It should be set to lighter and could be made heavier as and when required. It gives much fatigue to a biginner so very difficult to do exercise. . Seems to be wastege of money in short...

Excellent way to tone up at home

I treated myself to this twist stepper with my Amazon dooyoo vouchers a few months ago, and it was one of the best things I have ever bought! I am not really into doing proper exercise but I wanted to get my body a bit more toned up, especially my legs, which is why I bought this twist stepper. This twist stepper also has bungee bands attached to it, so you can tone up your arms and upper body at the same time.

This twist stepper was really easy to set up, and when you start stepping on it, they are really small steps which you think wouldn't really do much to tone you up, but after a few minutes if starts to make your legs ache and you can really feel it working in your muscles.

When I first started using it as I was so unfit I couldn't do it for long, but now I can step on it for about an hour, and I have definitely noticed a difference in my legs. They are much more toned than before I started using it, but it took a few months to notice a big difference.

This twist stepper is really small and compact and isn't too heavy. It is easy to carry around with you from room to room. It also feels really sturdy when you step on it, it wont tip up or anything. You can step on it as fast or slow as you like too, so you can control your workout.

I don't use the bungee bands, but I tried them when I first got it and they are easy to use, I prefer to use dumbbells for my arms, I just use it as a stepper. This twist stepper also counts the calories you have burned, but I don't really pay attention to this bit as I am only using it to tone up. Even though you are only stepping on the spot, it really does give you a good workout.

I paid £39.99 for this twist stepper on Amazon and it was well worth the money, I am really pleased with the results. It is so easy to use, store away and has left me with nice toned legs!

A good item for home exercise

      ==Twister Stepper Exerciser==

Over the years of dieting and fitness regimes I have seemed to acquired a rather excessive amount of home exercise equipment. Some of this has been stored away in the flat never to see the light of day again but some, such as this Side Stepper Exerciser, have remained a constant.

The side stepper can be bought at various places including Argos and a whole host of internet sites if you are prepared to pay for the postage. The usual price is around the £40 which is the price I paid for my one.

I had previously owned a regular stepping machine but when that broke I decided to pay a little bit more and get the Twister Stepper which not only works by making you step but also works the upper inner and outer thigh more by making you perform a twisting movement as you use the exerciser.

The stepper comes already made up apart from the arm cords which are attached to the front of the steeper via a very sturdy clip. The arm bands are rather like large elastic bands in the fact that they work the muscles by giving resistance when the bands get pulled up. These are not often used by myself and I will often clip them off to keep them out of the way and if I do fancy using them (not very often) they are easy to clip back onto the stepper.

The stepper has a built in digital counter which will give information on the amount of steps that have been taken, calories burnt, steps per minute, overall steps and the time spend exercising. These 5 functions can be set to a scan type setting which will change the displayed option every minute which is what I like to have it set to when using it.

The stepper has two large screws at the front of the machine so that the tension can be changed and thus increasing the difficulty of the exercise when using the stepper. The stepper works by twin linked hydraulic cylinder which work through resistance of the twisting and stepping movement.

The overall look of the twister stepper is okay but nothing overly exciting or snazzy looking. It is mainly black plastic which some parts are not overly tough meaning that the front plastic section of the machine has shattered on mine. This doesn't affect the use of the exerciser but it doesn't add to the appearance at all. The stepper does look quite cheap and not something that you would see down the gym.

The twister stepper is said to simulate the skiing movement because the steps are angled outwards slightly when compared to a regular stepper which has the steps in a straight position. The stepper is easy to use at first but after a while does get harder! This is just because you can feel the exercise working on the leg muscles which is exactly what you want so in that respect it does work and work well.

There is often a really annoying squeaking sound which even a good dose of WD40 does seem to shift and they did also supply some lubricating gel in with the stepper but this doesn't seem to work on the squeaking noise either.

You have to make sure you have a good centre of balance using this product and I wouldn't suggest doing it after a couple of vodkas as this does prove to be quite a challenge! Trust me.

The arm exercisers are good to use as they do give the arms a good workout but I find it harder to do with the arms and the stepping as this takes more concentration and not easily done when watching EastEnders (or drinking vodkas!).

The digital counter does its job and although is not totally high tech or perhaps correct most of the time, it has held its own for the amount of time that I have had the twister stepper. I will find that sometimes when watching the step count it will perhaps miss out a few steps from recording it on the screen. This is obviously better than fooling you into thinking you have done more by adding extra ones but any mistake like this is not very good.

On the whole, I have to say that considering I have had this twister stepper for a good couple of years it is doing well and was well worth the money paid. The item isn't really the best you could get but the cost of the item is appropriate for this. It isn't the best looking one or indeed the most accurate but I feel that it does the job and does it well. Continues use of this twister stepper makes for thinner legs which have more definition on the calves and upper legs.

There are a few things to take into consideration when purchasing this particular twister stepper and that would be that the maximum weight for a user on this stepper is 17.2 stones and it is best to have a little bit of balance as there is nothing to hold on to (unless you put it in front of a chair).

The twister stepper for me is a good one and I would be happy to give it a score of 4 stars out of 5 and a recommendation. A great item which is affordable, that can be used in the home to work the legs and is not too big to take over too much!

many thanks for taking the time to read.

I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.

        Good start to gettng fit

The twist and shape stepper is a good way to your leg muscles working and also to your gluteus macimus in to a peachy shape. You can set the step at different controls depending on how fast you want your work out to be. Therefore you can also intensify your workout at the push of a lever if you feel you can push yourself that little extra. It is also cheap compared to most gym equipment.
The problem I have encountered with with mine is that over time it has become rather stiff no matter what level I set it to. This has meant taking it all apart and regreasing the joints. Another disappointment with the stepper is you can not progress for a walk into a gentle jog. This leaves me feeling I can not improve my fitness levels by a considerable amount and may have to go on to more expensive items.

        Reebok on a winner

I received the Reebok stepper as a Christmas present 2 years ago when I first started my quest to lose weight and at £50 was quite reasonable.

The stepper came in a large box as It itself a lot larger than you would imagine, The Reebok Stepper came with instructions that has about 5 exercise tips on and cord bands that click into the bottom of the stepper on either side of It so whether you want to use them or not Is entirely optional and up to you.

There is also a calorie counter that clicks on and off the Stepper and tells you how many calories you've burnt and how long you have been exercising which is In my opinion quite useful.

I find using the stepper with the cords a little bit to much so don't use them with It a lot. When in use you really feel them working on your arms and can feel the effects for up to 2 - 3 days at a time until your body gets use to the exercising.

The Machine has a dial on the front of It which lets You decide what difficultly you want to Step to, Easy or Hard which basically controls how much of an effort your going to need to use while Stepping and as we all no the harder It Is the quicker the effects.

The first few times I did exercise on the Stepper was difficult as I was very unfit at the time, After about 15 minutes I could really feel the effects on my legs and struggled to do even 20 minutes. I also had muscle aches in my whole legs for up to 4 days at a time, Although this is obviously a good thing as It shows how much the equipment being used is working.

It took at least 4 - 5 weeks for me to actually build up my fitness enough to go half an hour to an hour on the stepper with ease, And overall toned up my calves, Tummy, Thighs and Bum quite a bit. With the cords I did see some improvement but not as much as the stepper as I didn't use them as much. This did take some time but stick with it the effects are amazing and well worth all the hard work.

The only negative thing iv got to say about the Reebok stepper is that when using both the cords with the stepper they tend to click off very easily and once hit me in the face which is quite dangerous so please take precaution.

The stepper can be difficult to store as it is quite bulky and heavy and the only batteries required are treble A batteries which do come with the machine and are only needed for the calorie counter.
