Over the years, I seem to have built up a huge collection of jump ropes, and I only recently sorted them all out and I am now down to owning just the one, as lets be fair, how many can you really use in one go?

One of the many jump ropes I have used over the years is the USA Pro Jump Rope. This is one that was given to me as a gift a few years ago from a friend, and USA Pro is a generally known range of fitness products and clothing. I have used a few of their different products over the years, and I have always known them to be of good quality.

The jump rope has gray handles, with a small black piece at each end, and these handles are made from a thick, foam like material, which is quite sturdy, yet squishy at the same time. It is easy to grip these handles, even when you have been using it for a while and your hands get all wet and sweaty. I have had jump ropes that just slip from my hands when I got sweaty, and this is something that annoyed me a lot, luckily, this did not happen with the USA Pro jump rope, and I feel that this is something that has been taken into account when this jump rope was designed.

The rope itself is black, and looks more like cord rather than rope, and it appears to have a woven pattern on it, which I think has been done to add extra strength to the rope, to stop fraying, snapping or other problems that would render the rope useless. I found that after a lot of use, there was no problems with this rope, and it still looked new a couple of years after buying it.

The rope does get dirty occasionally, but this is easy to clean. I usually just dip it into some soapy water and then leave it to air dry. The handles are cleaned in the same way, as these can get a bit smelly, due to the sweating, dead skin and dirt that is pushed upon them.

The rope length is actually quite good, and I found it to be perfect for my height. I am 5'5" and this rope is not too short for me to jump over, but not so long that I get tangled in it. I usually have to wrap the rope around my hands once or twice, just to keep the length exactly as I need it, but this is nothing major and I have had to do much more with other jump ropes.

The rope is nice and light, so spinning it to jump over is no worries what so ever and it takes a minimal effort, which leaves me to concentrate on the actual jumping. It is a great way to workout, and this jump rope helps to make it simple and easy to jump rope, but the rest of the effort is of course, up to you!

I like to keep fit, so using jump ropes is a great way to add fitness and lose weight, but sadly this is something I can not take part in very often any more, due to having knee surgery and my knee not taking much shock very well any more. I can only do jump rope for a short amount of time before pain sets in, so I ended up getting rid of all but 1 of my jump ropes.

If you want to buy yourself a good quality jump rope at a good price, you can buy this USA Pro Jump Rope from Sports Direct and other general sports store for £2.50. I have seen it in some places for anything up to £5, but I paid £2.50 for mine and most places still have it for this price. It comes in a plastic casing, which is easy to open, and if you want to keep it to store the jump rope in, then this is quite an ideal casing to do that with.

I really think this is a good product, and I am quite happy to recommend it to others, whether it be for serious workouts, or the occasional fun, this is a good jump rope at an ideal price. I give this product a 5 out of 5 stars.
