I'm amssively into any activity that keeps you fit and active. I have a home gym, for which I have acquired a lot of keep fit equipment. One thing I had been missing out on was a good pair of free weights, until I purchased the York Vinyl Dumbell Set.

I purchased the set online, for the reasonable price of just £39.99. They were delivered to my home, removing the difficulty of collecting these heavy weights from the high street. Upon unpacking them I was instantly impressed by the smoothness of the weight when I picked it up.

Each Dumbell (there are two) can have a maximum weight of 15kgs on it, with four weights of 5kgs and four weights of 2.5kgs, totalling 30kgs in total. That is way to heavy for me. I tend to lift either 10kgs or 5kgs on each arm. Adjustment of the weight is very straight forward, simply remove the screw on fastener and slide the appropriate weight either on or off. To make sure the weight does not come off when lifting, simply screw the fastener back on. An excellent design, which suits me nicely. Much better than the push tight attachments that you get doen the gym.

The bars of the dumbells are very comfortable too. Often my hands will become sore when lifting weight at the gym, due to the abrassive natural of the handles. These are very smooth to grip and do not hurt. They do not slide in your hand either.

To store the dumbells you can buy a stand, which is pretty expensive. I do not have one of these, I simply leave them on the floor. This is not ideal, as it makes the room look untidy and I often stub my toe on them. But a stand is too costly for me at the moment.

All in all I have been very happy with my purchase. I award them five out of five Dooyoo stars.
