Integral Secure 360 16 GB
by danny691
Although I have owned a number of USB Memory Sticks in the past I always end up losing one from time to time. I still own a few, but one of my personal favourites is the Integral Secure 360 16GB USB Memory Stick. Priced at around £25 it certainly isn't cheap. In comparison to other brands it is towards the higher end of the range, but is ... it worth it?
The design is quite innovative, offering the user 'Secure Lock', meaning it can be secured in the closed position, protecting data and the USB connector in the process. The '360' refers to the fact that the stick rotates 360degrees on a fixed axis inside the casing. Overall the design is something I like and with this sort of product there are three things I take into consideration, price, brand and design. Integral is a brand I am familiar with, and so this product does tick all the right boxes for me.
The USB stick is compatible with the faster 2.0 USB ports. Data transfer is fast and painless, with a simple drag/drop procedure. I often transfer large quantities of data and with a capacity of 16GB there is plenty of room for a whole variety of files and such like. I back up music and data files regularly and this product is ideal for such a requirement.
Other than the 360degree rotating USB connector for secure storage you are also faced with the option to apply a unique user ID which allows for the device to be adapted for use on secure company networks. This isn't a feature I use personally, but it could be a consideration for some.
The pricepoint is obviously an issue, and it does make it less attractive to someone either price sensitive or baffled with digital media and therefore opting for a lesser (and cheaper) product. The ability to allow the data stick to be attached to a keychain is just another small design addition and the glossy finish and neat and compact design sold it to me. Read the complete review |

Integral Secure 360 4 GB
by danny691
I have probably lost count of the number of Flash Drives I have owned and misplaced or indeed still in possession of. I love the simplicity of the concept and the sheer vast amount of data some of them can store is just mind-boggling. The other aspect is that the Flash Drive comes in a whole host of different designs and with different ... positive and negative points. The design is a huge selling point for me, as otherwise there is very little difference between the brands other than capacity and price.
The Integral Secure 360 4GB lash Drive is a great way of storing your data for a number of key reasons. First, the design has something special about it. The whole way the stick swivels around and locks in a closed position to protect the USB 'Type A' connector. (After looking on Wikipedia there are six different variations of the USB connector). The design isn't the most typical of Flash Drives and such a design not only looks good but also has the added benefit of protecting the connector from damage, whether that be physical or water damage, for exaample. The contacts are kept clean aswell, so transferring data isn't interrupted by having to wipe the contacts.
The casing and feel of the Flash Drive are very robust and I am expecting this one to last a little longer than most Flash Drives from general wear and tear. Although it is made from hard plastic and it isn't completely indestrucable it will withstand most threats posed to it through dropping or being stood on.
This Flash Drive is great for people who like toys. Even though it is easy to plug the USb stick into the port I love the '360' design. The device has a capacity of 4GB which will allows sufficient space for 800 tunes assuming a 5MB size each. Word files and the like take up very small amounts of storage, and although videos can take up a lot of space, the 4GB capacity is generous for day-to-day use.
Priced at around the £6 mark and available widely online I think this Flash Drive would make a great present for anyone with a digital camera looking for portable data storage. The Integral Secure 360 4GB Flash Drive really is a steal. Read the complete review |

Integral Neon 4GB
by kama0529
At the moment I'm having to do a professional course for work in which I have to take three modules over 18 months. It's a fair amount of work with a lot of assignments and in order to help me be ordered, I decided to buy three flash drives (one for each module) on which to be able to store and transport my work. I opted for the Integral ... Neon 4GB USB Flash Drive which comes in a variety of bright neon colours (I have neon yellow, pink and purple) which is great because it means they are easily identifiable and means you can assign one colour to one subject. Each flash drive cost me just £4.65 from Amazon (including post and packaging) which I think is a great price for 4GB of memory storage.
The flash drive is small and light - weighing just 9g and measuring 5cm x 1.3cm x 0.4cm- so small enough to carry in your pocket or in your purse. What makes it distinctive looking is the fact that it is neon and so looks different to the majority of the other flash drives that are available. It has a cap on it which you pull off to reveal the USB port which you plug into your computer. I like that it has a cap because it means that the USB port is protected during transit or when the flash drive is not in use. It can be attached to a keyring and also has a pocket clip - which makes it less likely to be lost - but I personally don't use this feature.
To use, it is just a matter of plugging in the flash drive into the USB port on your computer. My computer recognised that it was plugged in, and so once plugged in it's just a matter of telling your computer what it is you want to do. It saves files quickly and seems to be quite high speed. I have never had a problem with loosing data on the flash drive or on data being corrupted - which is a problem I've had in the past with other manufacturers. It seems safe and reliable. I don't like that there is nowhere to write on the flash drive to say what's actually on the stick.
Overall, I think this is a really great little storage device and I recommend it to anyone looking for a flash drive - as long as you like neon pink! Read the complete review |
