      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Buy one in any size you like!

Having purchased one of these a few months back I can vouch for their speed of transfer both to and from the device and also I can vouch for the fact that they are very robust little items.

The flash drive is fairly light and gives the impression that it may be a bit flimsy but not so, mine has taken a fair few falls off my unit onto laminate flooring as well as being banged about by my two year old son but as come to no harm.

I paid only £12.99 for mine but unbelievably they are already down in price to as low as £8.99 depending where you look. The only setback for this little gadget is that it does not work with Vista which might put a lot of people off even if they are not using Vista yet, Vista is the future whether we like it or not.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a little extra storage that is also going to be portable, there are of course ones available with much bigger storage capacity so if you need to store a lot of stuff then maybe looking to a 2 or even 4GB one might be an idea. Belkin do make these up to an incredible 8GB so there is one to suit everybody!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

I would recommend it to almost anyone with any need for file transfers between multiple computers.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago, and I now wonder how I managed before. It's so handy! Everything about this just seems right. The size is ideal, as it fits perfectly on my keyring. The storage capacity is fantastic.

The main use I have is for bringing work back and forth from the office. My office email is internal, and it used to be complete pain. Working at home either meant dusting off the old laptop, transferring directly to it etc., or floppy disks, which simply don't have the capacity.

The drive plugs into the USB port, (as you would expect from the name), and Windows (XP in my case) simply picks it up with plug and play and uses it as an extra drive. It's that easy! USB 2.0 standard means transfer rate is pretty rapid too, though it is compatible with older USB standards too. Once you've finished with it, you just pull it out and take it away with you.

At the price I can't think of a handier piece of kit and would recommend it to almost anyone with any need for file transfers between multiple computers.
