Advantages: Cheap.
Disadvantages: Poor Build Quality.
This is a brilliant product, as it's great value for money, is lightweight and portable. It also has reasonable read and write speeds, with a colour that makes it stand out. However, the build quality is poor, and the USB cover can become lost as it doesn't have a cord connecting it to the unit.
First, the packaging does a really good job of protecting the product, with a firm fit, so it can't move around. This means there is no chance of damage to the hardware. Also, the information is clearly laid out, and easy to read. Next, it is easier to open that other drives, with thinner plastic which means it can be cut with scissors easily. The included instructions are clear, but brief, giving all the information you would need.
The design of the product is modern, and with a bright colour it means that is easy to spot, and less likely to go missing. This is a big plus as the device is very small, and lightweight. This makes it the perfect option for users wanting a portable drive. The drive is also thin, meaning that it can fit into one USB port, not taking up the 2, which means more devices can be used. The addition of a slot for a key ring means that it can be connected to your keys, and you won't forget it. However, the cap is also free, and not connected to the rest of the drive, meaning it can become lost. This leaves the USB connector open to damage.
The build quality of the drive is poor, but this is expected for such as cheap drive. The plastic is thin, and scratches easily. Also, the USB connector is flimsy, and moves around, so it could possibly snap off. However, it has survived a few drops.
The drive space is good for the cost, and it isn't loaded with any software, meaning you can make full use of it.
Again, as the drive is cheap, the read and write speeds are slower than others, but this is fine as the drive capacity is lower. Documents and other small files are great, but video and pictures are slower. As this is a smaller drive, you won't fit much video and pictures anyway, meaning that this isn't an issue.
Overall, a great drive as it is great value for money. It's cheap storage, and lightweight, but the build quality is poor and the read/write speeds are slower than others on the market.
Summary: A good drive.
