      A decent flash drive from Kodak

      I bought the Kodak flash drive to use with a kodak digital photo frame. I bought the frame as a gift for friend and wanted the flash drive to expand the memory of the frame. It was only £6.99 for a 2GB one which is a reasonable price to pay for a flash drive from a reputable brand. Most of the flash drives would have worked in the frame but I wanted a Kodak one to go with the frame and it was quite cheap.

      ==Description==

      The flash drive is black and labelled up with the Kodak brand name and it's size. It has a see through lid that clips on to protect the metal connector. This lid has a small hole at the end so you can tie it onto your bag if you wanted it, although it does not come with any string to do this. The lid is easy to pull off but it also clicks on quite securely. The flash drive is small, average sized for a device such as this and feels like it is made from robust plastic. At the end of the flash drive is a blue light that glows when the flash drive is in use.

      ==Speed==

      The flash drive connects quickly to the laptop and is immediately recognised by the computer as a separate drive. To transfer data to the device you need to drag and drop files into the flash drive folder. When copying files the drive takes time to transfer these over and I would not say it is the quickest I have ever used but it is not the slowest. I would probably say it is average really. You can store all sorts of different files on it from music, images, video and documents. I transferred 300 pictures and 15 minutes of music as the frame we bought had the facility to play music while you showed a sideshow of pictures. After putting these on the device there was still quite a lot of space left over. On inserting the drive into the frame, it immediately was read and I could organise the pictures and edit them on the digital screen.

      ==Overall==

      I guess the biggest downside is a lid that does not stay with the drive. I think I much prefer the flash drives that have the swivel head protecting cover as you will never lose it. These little devices will always get lost or lent to people and not returned so I do not think I could ever justify spending too much money on one. I think I would rather have a few small ones than one large one! Besides I only wanted a small one for the frame and a 2GB capacity is more than enough.

      I would definitely recommend this flash drive, it seems really reliable and it was quick and easy to transfer data onto it.
