It is pretty hard to go wrong with this 8gb flash drive fromPlay.com as for a very low price of £6.99 you do get an excellent product. I did have a problem with the first one that I got as it would not work on my laptop, the message came up that there was no driver that it was compatable with and all the things I tried to resolve the matter did not work however Play replaced it after a few days through their normal returns policy and the new one is working just fine with no problems so I guess the first one was certainly faulty.

This is what I guess you would call a basic flash drive based on the fact that it is not exactly robustly made. It is a blue plastic casing, mine differes slightly from the one in teh picture above in that it does not have the silver loop on the lid which is a shame as this looks like it would make it easier to secure the device to a key chain however the lid mine has is smooth. It does clip on to the back of the flash drive when it is plugge into your PC to make it harder to loose but other than that there is no way to secure the flash drive to anything if it is going to be used a lot. I plan to use mine to back up pictures so it is not a major issue as it will remain at home.

Transfer speeds are perfectly acceptable, whilst it is not the fastest flash drive that I have ever worked with it does transfer files easily by drag and drop and without the need for any software downloads. Also the speed is fine especially as I'm using mine for storing photo files from home so there is no need for it to be particularly fast.

Overall I guess you get what you pay for and this is a good value device which as it is from Play does not have any additional p&p to pay.
