I bought this Memory stick for around £10 on Amazon. i bought it to be used on my TV and to transfer files from my work computer to my laptop.
The one i purchased is a 32GB model, this ideal for most users who plan to back up or copy and paste large documents from one place to another. It is a great small memory stick, which in my case i think it is bit too small, there were some occasion where i thought i lost the memory stick, but realised that it was in my pocket the whole time. it is really light which makes it unnoticeable in your pockets.
You Just need to simply plug it into your computer, let the drivers install and you're ready to go. If you have owned a previous sandisk memory stick, then you will be familiar with the U3 software that comes preinstalled with your memory stick. but in this case it doesn't, but you can download the application from the the Sandisk website.
For those not familiar with the U3 software. it is a application which you can use, to encrypt your memory stick. you can add a password to keep it secure. the software enables you to download applications which can help your device. by this i mean if there is a virus on it you can use the specific application to fix the drive and reformat it. there are various applications that can be downloaded for most situations.
This is a great Memory stick but it does have one drawback. which is the slow data transfer rate. i do tend to transfer large files from and to different computers/laptops. and it does take awhile to transfer it. for example a 1GB files takes around 10 - 15 minutes to transfer. But with small files it is able to trasnfer it a quick rate (this mostly depends on the size of the file).
Overall i would recommend this memory stick, the prices for these memory sticks have been coming down, which mean that you will be most likely to find a bargain in most supermarkets and online stores.
Whenever I took photos using either my camera or my phone I would always transfer them onto my laptop and save them, however I thought one day that if anything ever happened to my laptop I would loose all my photos so I decided to get something to back them up on, it was actually near my birthday and I didn't really know what sort of thing I would need so I asked my parents to buy me something suitable as part of my birthday present. The bought me the Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive 32GB, my Dad actually used something similar and recommended it so I was sure that this would be ideal for what I needed.
The Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive is a small rectangle shape measuring just over an inch in length and under and inch in width, it is made from plastic which is bright red on one side and black on the other, on the black side is the name Sandisk written in red writing so that it stands out against the black background. On one end of the flash drive has the USB connection which inserts into your computer or laptop, all parts of this are moulded together including the USB end so there are no small parts that could snap off, ideal if you need to carry the flash drive around with you.
The Sandisck Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive is a 32GB flash drive, now I do not understand all technical details about this type of product but I do know that this is a good amount of storage space. As I have mentioned I wanted my flash drive purely for backing up all my photos I have taken, I literally have 100's of photos saved on my flash drive and still have over half the amount of storage space left. I personally like the fact that I can store so much date on this as it means everything is in one place and I can simply scroll through until I find what I am looking for.
You can purchase this flash drive from a number of places including, Tesco, Amazon as well as various other websites. The Sandisck Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive is sold for just over £11.00 on Amazon, but on Tesco is nearly double this price so it is definitely worth shopping around for the best price as it seems to vary quite a lot depending on where you purchase it from.
I have had the Sandisck Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive for several months and have been extremely pleased with it, it is of an excellent quality and is well made, although it is really small it is also sturdy and durable, it has a good storage capacity and can hold a large amount of data. There is nothing fancy about the flash drive, you simply plug it into your computer or laptop and its ready to use, again this was ideal for me. The flash drive is reasonably priced if you shop around, however in some places you could end up paying a lot more so it is worth looking around. I would definitely recommend this product and would purchase one again in the future should I need a second flash drive.
