SanDisk is a pretty well known and popular brand amongst the manufacturers of electrical goods/electronics. Personally, I feel that SanDisk is a reliable brand and the quality is very good for the price tag it comes with it. This particular product is no exception.


As a university student, one of my biggest worries is losing the work/assignments that I have spent hours on. Therefore, I have a backup for a backup as an extra safety measure. This is where this flash drive comes it.


The particular product I'm reviewing for has the 4 GB memory storage, which may not seem a lot considering the quality and the size of media files available these days. However, 4 GB does the job if it's only to backup my university assignments, most of which are documents and few pictures here and there. Also, another advantage especially for broke university students, like me, is that this product is relatively cheap compared to other brands. This 4 GB flash drive costs me around £5.00 and I bought it from amazon, and price-wise this is very good. However, the flash drive comes in a variety of sizes from 2 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB on top of the 4 GB size.


As for the design, I really like the look of it. It come in black colour with red lines and the word 'SanDish' written in red as well. In my opinion, I think the design and sleek and edgy. However, one complaint I have about this design is that it has no protective cover/cap. Since I tend to put it in my pencil case, there's always a chance the USB port might get damaged or broken.


Despite that disadvantage, the flash drive has been doing a good job for about 5 months now. The performance is very good and the speed is very quick, which is particularly useful if you're in a hurry to save precious files. It works with pretty much most of the systems including the Mac OS system 10.x.


Overall, my experience with this flash drive has been good and it has been keeping my important documents safe and sound. For what it's worth, I think it is useful to have one of these to back up important files.
