I never really thought I'd need a Flash drive until the College e-mail was 'out of service' (they block other all e-mail services i.e. yahoo, hotmail etc.) which was nice timing, especially since I had deadlines fast approaching. Having no way to transfer work to and from college I quickly began shopping around for a flash drive.

I chose the 4GB capacity, although 2GB and 8GB were also available for £9.99 and £24.99, mainly because I had only needed it for documents and presentations which don't take up much space. I would have gone for the smaller 2GB option but it was only available in blue and for only £5 I'd rather 2GB extra space and a better colour.

Aah the wonders of technology these days... I remember when if you wanted to save files of some sort you used to have to put them on CD's or Floppy disks, now there's an even more convenient means of saving, storing and transferring all your personal files and all at a fraction of the price and with added mobility. The flash drive requires no program installations prior to use thankfully like some other drives, and comes with a handy password function meaning all your files are kept safe and sound :)
