Advantages: reliable and safe
Disadvantages: none
I get given a vast array of little gadgets at work and USB drives seem to be a very popular freebie to receive. I have loads of them and one of the best I have been given is the SanDisk Cruzer Slice 8Gb. I have used SanDisk USB drives in the past and knew them as a reputable brand in memory storage so was optimistic that my new USB would be useful.
The drive itself is small in size (around 8 cm) and incredibly light (18 grams). This tiny design makes it great for using on the go. I have mine connected to my keys so I always have instant access to it. It is a very tough device. I am forever throwing my keys about on tables and the device has never shown any signs of breaking. With 8GB of memory It is perfect from me as I save a number of word and excel documents on it with plenty of room spare for larger files.
The design is a sleek black cover with a red sliding button. This button slides up and down putting and removing a protective lid over the USB connector. I really like this design as I always lose the lids off USB drives.
The device is very easy to use (great for a simpleton like me). You just plug into any standard 2.0 USB port that you find on desktops, laptops or other devices and you are able to save work, files, pictures etc. to the device.
With is memory size, reliability and security I cannot fault this product. I looked on Amazon recently and this was showing at £8 which I believe is a bargain for such a handy little gadget. Usually when I get freebies at work I would never warrant paying money for the product but the SanDisk Cruzer Slice 8Gb is one I would happily pay to replace.
Summary: The perfect USB drive
