Again, Sandisk have provided a great drive. This may be more expensive than other options, but it's worth the extra. The drive is faster than similar drives, but most importantly, the build quality is fantastic, so the drive will last, making it worth the money compared to similar drives that won't last as long.
First, the packaging is simple. The text is easy to read, and provides everything you need to know. The product is also protected. However, the packaging is hard to cut, with thick plastic that could cut you. It is also frustrating to cut with scissors. Inside, you get some instructions which give you everything you need to know.
The design of the product is really nice. It's lightweight, making it portable. However, it is bigger than other drives. The added keyring adapter is good. It's so big, that it takes up 2 USB ports. This can be a pain if you are short on ports, or if you want to connect multiple devices. The switch which retracts the USB connector is really good, as it moves well, without problems and also means that the USB connector will never become damaged. It also removes the need for a cover, which could become lost. The materials used are really good, as they make the drive feel expensive and high quality. As they can't scratch, they feel like they will last, and since it is crush resistant, you know you can take your device anywhere and it will stay safe.
The build quality of the drive is amongst the best I have seen. The device fits together really well, with no gaps, and the USB connector is really strong, and not flimsy like it is on other products. This gives the impression that it will last a long time.
However, you also get some software which is confusing to use, and won't work on all computers. This is good if you don't know how to use the device and use Windows/OSX to transfer files/folders, but just slows everything down if you do. Luckily, it can easily be removed by reformatting the drive before use. It also takes up some space on the drive.
Next, the drive is quite fast. It is faster than other drives on the market. With this, it's much better to use with videos, and larger files as you won't waste so much time.
The drive is more expensive than others, but due to the high build quality, which means it will last longer than others, and the high speed make it great value for money.
Overall, a great drive for somebody who wants something that will last.
I bought this flash drive about a year ago for my final year of college as I managed to break of the entire of the cover of the cheap plastic one that I had. I have had no problems with the flash drive and it has been dropped a number of times. I found that the titanium cover has made it very robust and even with stands my personal day to day use. The flash drive looks nice an when it is operating the light pulses a orange colour so that you know that it is in use and are able to safely remove the hard ware. A small extra that i also enjoy with Sandisk products is that the Cruzer software is already on the device, this comes with some built in programs even one that allows you to plan your finances. You are able to download other programs as well to put on to the Cruzer program my personal favourite is Skype, as it means that you do not have to download it for every pc that you are on. The performance of the flash drive is very good as well files transfer quickly on and off the drive making you have to wait very little time, this was a huge bonus for me as while at college on a day to day basis I had to transfer a large number of large files at a time sometimes ranging from 500MB to over 1GB a day, the maximum time that I had to wait was 5 minute, which make backing up my work a quick and easy task to do.
I have found over the years that Sandisk drives are amongst the best solid state drives around. Nowadays i tend not to find myself buying anything less than 8gb usb drives. However as this was a present for my niece and she only required 2gb, i could not resist this 4GB stick at this price. As with all usb devices read and write speeds are very important and the Titanium offers 15 MB(read) and 9 MB(write) which in my eyes is above adequate. This stick feels solid to the touch "unlike other plasticy sticks i have had in the past". This is surprisingly one of the fasted disks i have had to load into mycomputer. I am not totally convinced that it is the best on the market for a 4gb stick but i would say at its price it is more than tempting. Overall a fantastic little storage device made by a company with a reputation to match
