“ Sony Micro Vault Midi - USB flash drive - 2 GB - Hi-Speed USB „
When I needed to carry my data from office computer to home computer I decided to purchase a USB Flash Drive. Now although memory prices have come down a great deal in the last few years I only really needed about 1 GB of data space for my needs. I decided to purchase a Flash Drive with 2 GB of space just to be safe though as the price difference was negligible. There are plenty of cheap brands out there but I decided to go with a brand I trust and have used for some time now.
I chose the Sony MicroVault 2GB Flash Drive and it has been faultless since I purchased it. I use this Flash Drive everyday and it is both fast and reliable. The first time I plugged it into my computer the operating system detected it straight away and installed the device automatically. The Sony MicroVault has a retractable USB interface and the tab you use to retract this also work as an LED indicator when the Flash Drive is in use transferring data.
The Flash Drive itself is well made and has a robust feel to it and can safely be placed into a pocket or bag without fear of it being damaged. There is a recessed tab so you can attach a keychain to it should you wish too. Personally I wouldn't as the Flash Drive is small enough to be stored into your pocket when not in use.
At under £10 in most online stores this Flash Drive offers peace of mind that your data will be transferred without corruption or lost altogether as can happen with some cheaper brands. I would not hesitate to recommend this Flash Drive to anyone.
My last USB memory stick was a Silvercrest 256MB from Lidl. As you can imagine, it wasn't the best, and as it was bought a fair while ago it had very small memory. When it broke, I needed to get one in order to store all my coursework, photos and other documents. I didn't want one with masses of memory as I simply wouldn't use it. I decided to go for a Sony memory stick, as Sony generally have a high reputation.
Sony delivered that reputation - I bought a 2GB memory stick from a shop on Ebay, for just over £7 with free postage, brand new. The item is black in colour, is very sleek, and has a retractable end. The lever that allows you to retract the end also lights up when transferring information to the PC or other device. The device is certainly quicker than my last device.
To be honest there's not a lot to write about a memory stick, all I can say is that this "memory vault" is of good quality, is a good price, it looks sophisticated and does what it's supposed to do.
Storing, sharing and transporting data has never been easier than with Micro Vault USB Storage Media. So simple - Micro Vault media plugs directly into the computer's USB port - and acts just like another drive. There are no cables or adapters needed, no power cord and no driver software to install. It's compatible with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems, and even comes with software that password protects the contents of the device. It is perfect for sharing PowerPoint presentations, digital photos, MPEG video and MP3s, transporting files between work and home, or sharing files with friends and colleagues.
