When it comes to memory cards I have to confess that I possibly own more than I really need, with each one being used to certain types of data. The larger sized GB version I tend to use when it comes to storing larger files, videos and such, with others being used for other data, such as music or, as in this case, written files.
This is only a 2GB, class 4, which is nothing these days, but i've had this for years and as I mainly these days for storing written data, which takes up a lot less space that pictures and video. Although this one can and has been used for storing pics and vids.
It's transfer rate is pretty good. For example, I can fill the card up, with a mixture of files, pictures, data, short videos etc in about 75 seconds (on average), and empty it all back onto my laptop in nearly half that... so speed isn't the problem here.
It has the usual locking switch on the side so that you don't accidental delete files you wanted to keep, nor can you add files whilst it's locked.
I used to use this one in a camera that I had but when I updated to a larger GB card this one became my file storing, and as it slots into my wallet, i've always got it when I need it.
What more can I say about what is a memory card that manages to keep my data safe and easily transferable …? well, the price of course. This one sells for less than £4, with some place selling it for a lot less.
So, if you see one for a few quid then there's no shame in getting it.
