Is it better than the stock card that comes with a fujifilm camera? Well, instinct tells me to say no, because I tend to believe that secretly matching brands makes them work better. A completely baseless belief, but one that I can't shake. This card though, this went someway to doing so. I needed a new card and didn't want to spend extravagant sums to buy one, so I went looking and found this for around £8 at the time and I snapped it up. Matching it to my camera it had the same storage capacity for my photos, a nice high transfer speed, and what I particularly liked about it was that it even fit my home photo printer, which can be very temperamental. That was a huge bonus as I was able to both quickly bring up the best photos I had of a recent wedding to email to people, then if they liked them, print them off for a portion of the price. Not only did i make a great saving on the card itself, but the quality is comparable, and it also saved me money on a lot of the photos, something the stock card didn't do. I am very pleased I bought this card.
I own four or five of these now i think all purchased from amazon. I have found them to be reasonably priced, reliable, and essentially flawless. It does what it says on the tin really. I use them for my fuji film digital camera as it is the only card that is compatible for the particular model i own. I also use a couple of them for long term storage of the photos i've taken. Transfer speeds are reasonable, no faster or slower than the fujifilm branded card that came with my camera. Maybe there are faster cards out there, I don't know but to be honest there can't be that much difference from card to card.
Not much else to say about them really, a good product that is competitively priced, does its job very well, and of all the XD format cards on sale, I can find no reason why you wouldn't want to purchase this one.
Now I'm not going to go on about how many photo i can store on this device as all digital cameras are different these days. I am going to compare the card to other types you can buy on the market.
It is one of the smaller card on the market. It is defiantly smaller than the standard SD card that most cameras use these days. If you have a fujifilm or olympus camera then XD is probably the one that you will use.
The XD also seams the transfer and process information quicker than the SD card. I know this as my camera takes both SD and XD and the Xd is defiantly the quicker one. However, there doesn't really seam to be much difference in the quality of the pictures i have taken.
The price of XD card are also a lot more expensive than the SD cards. At the present moment, XD cards seam to be nearly double the price you can buy a SD card for. However, the cheaper SD cards always seam to be of a lower quality and it wouldn't surprise me if they had a low usage life.
Overall, this 1GB XD memory card is a great buy if your camera is compatible. I would advice anyone to spend more money on one of these cards from other makes as it is that much better.
I obtained this card when I bought my camera. I had read so many revews about XD cards. Wow, I own one now!
This is a card that I can say really amazes me. If I set my pictures to 640X400 or so, I can get about 9999 images out of it.
Believe me when I say the quality is good and clear! Even if I have to click many times to get a good image, I still can retain all the others as the quality of all the images are safely secured.
With higher resolution, the amount of images to be stored can be very much less, but the quality of each image is still good. I tried capturing video with sound with this card. And the result is good too!
This card, used with certain cameras, can activate the panorama function, where a few small images can be stitched together to form a larger image. This is good, as not many memory cards can do so.
