When I brought my Fujifilm camera last year, part of the offer was that with the purchase I had the opportunity to have a 2GB SD memory card for half of it's sale price, which only cost me about £10 at the time which I thought was pretty good for that size memory. My camera is a 12.2MP camera therefore the picture quality is excellent and I'd need a large sized memory card to store all my photos and videos before uploading them to the computer. PNY weren't familiar to me at all before I bought my camera and I wouldn't have gone for this particular memory card had it not been involved with the Fujifilm deal, which is why I went for it.
PNY are a company who mainly specialise in upgrading products for computing. The memory card itself, PNY Storage 2 GB Class 4 SD to give it its full name, is your typical SD card with the slide lock to stop it being used when necessary. It is compatible with most cameras and will fit in all memory card readers. This card is available for £7.21 (inc. VAT, but it charges £2.99 (inc. VAT) for postage within 7 days, and even more if you want it delivered earlier). It has a life span of around 5 years which makes it worth the money. On my camera I can store up to 650 photos which is more than enough, though it might not be enough for some!
I am very satisfied with they way it works and processes. I can compare it to an emergency card I bought when I needed extra memory at a music festival and I can easily say this one is so much better. The PNY's speed is very quick to upload and download to and from the computer. It processes without failure, where as on some cards data can be lost if the process doesn't work properly, such as on the worse quality card I have. The PNY is also very reiable. I don't ever recall losing any photographs through data transfer given its speed.
I'd recommend you buy this if you're an avid amateur photographer with a decent camera, although I think it'd be better to buy a 4GB in order to keep up with the continuing technological advances in photography, as higher resolution cameras will become available. This is the only PNY product I've ever owned and it's done alright for the past 10 months or so and I hope it continues! A very decent SD memory card and much better than the cheaper Verbatim model I own.
