A very reliable and 'hardened' card that can be used in a variety of the high end digital SLR cameras as well as for the more mundane tasks like file copying between computers and uploading photos. The emphasis from the marketing blurb is on speed and to be fair, you'll struggle to take so many shots on a camera that it can't keep up. The 16gb capacity gave me the ability to shoot both RAW and high quality JPEG formats on all my photo taking with my SLR, and when uploading via my card reader to my computer to do some post processing, it is noticeably faster than doing this via the cables supplied with the camera.
