Advantages: Lots of space, good value for money,
Disadvantages: A little slower than the Sony brand sticks.
The Sandisk Gaming Memory Stick Pro Duo is a memory stick that is ideal for use with your PSP.
The card itself is very small and is the standard memory stick Pro Duo size which will fit into all devices that support it such as a camera, mobile or PSP though the gaming brand suggests it will work best with your games consoles. You can get an adaptor to make it fit Memory Stick Pro devices but one of those is not included.
The device itself is a very cool transparent green colour and you can see the internals which is kind of neat if you like that sort of thing! Included in the pack with the memory stick is a handy little plastic carry case so if you need to store it, you can keep the dust and dirt off it.
The device was recognised by my PSP console straight away but not with the full 8GB that was advertised you only get 7622MB to use for yourself, almost 400MB off but it still is a lot of room.
Transferring data to the device is painless as it will work in a card reader or if you plug your PSP directly into your computer with the USB cable, transfer speeds were not as high as I thought with my original Sony 1GB memory stick managing to transfer data much faster.
Other than that I have no complaints about the memory card as it hasn't messed up once by corrupting my data like some cheaper makes can, it also has ample space to store any music, movies and downloads you can purchase from the Playstation Network Store including classics like Final Fantasy VII which takes up just over 1.5GB.
The card can be yours for around £30 which works out at under £5 for a gigabyte which I find to be good value as I paid £50 for my 1GB memory card a few years ago.
Summary: A good memory stick.
