      A small but powerful processor

I bought this food processor as I wanted one that was going to be powerful yet compact enough to store away easily. I read up on a lot of processors and decided this one fit the bill. I bought it online and I paid £34.99 for it which was a good price as the RRP for this particular blender is £59.99 which I think is far too expensive especially considering that you can buy a larger bender for less than this price.

The processor is certainly a lot more compact than the full size ones and it looks neat and compact on the worktop and doesn't take up a whole heap of room unlike larger ones which can take up a whole corner. I store mine in the cupboard hence why I particularly wanted a smaller one as I don't have a great deal of room left in my cupboards so it is ideal for this. Unfortunately it isn't quite as practical as I imagined and unless you are planning on only using it very infrequently or you are just using it for small amounts then I would recommend that you invest in a larger one.

That isn't to say this isn't a good food processor because it really is good quality and works perfectly but I just wish I had bought a slightly larger one for my own personal preference especially as I am extremely lazy and can rarely be bothered to do separate bathes of things and would prefer to just be able to throw everything in at once and not faff about doing one batch and then another and then another and so on.

It does work perfectly for smaller food items such as breadcrumbs etc. but for soups for example you will definitely not fit a pot of soup in this and will have to do a few batches. The bowl has a capacity of 900ml but in reality since you don't want to over fill it then you can't really get this much in at once.

The processor has both a chop and grind function for making all sorts of different things. As I mentioned I use it for breadcrumbs a lot and also for making things like home-made pesto and various different pasta sauces. I have to say that the blade is so sharp and I have yet to encounter anything that it can't handle and pulverise. The lid is really good and fits securely to the base and a really nice touch and something which is really handy is that it has pour holes in the lid so that you can add oil to sauces without having to continually remove the lid. This is really handy to make sure that you can see how much oil is needed and not just chuck some in and not just hope it is enough or too much.

The motor itself is also fairly powerful so it takes no time at all to be able to whiz things. As the blade is so sharp though you do need to be careful when cleaning it out so that you don't cut yourself on it. One thing that I really do like about this is the positioning of the blades. It is easy to get a spoon in and scrape out everything from the bottom once it is processed unlike some processors where everything sticks to the bottom under the blades and it is almost impossible to get them out.

One thing that you do need to be careful of is not over filling it with harder items such as ice as it will struggle when overfilled and can overheat but as long as you make sure and add the ice in bathes then it will do it with no problems and it is good to be able to make a frozen margharita whenever I fancy one.

Cleaning out the processor is a piece of cake and because of the positioning on the blades it is easy to ensure that there are no bits of food stuck in the bottom of it. Also because of its smaller size it means that I can just put it in the dishwasher instead of having to hand wash it every time.

I do have trouble with faulting this processor as it works really well and it does look and feel really good. The only criticism that I have is with the size but most people buying this will be aware it is smaller than normal and take that into account when purchasing. I now no longer use this for larger things like soup and stick to my hand blender and this works for nearly everything else I use it for but still I wish I had bought a larger one so that I at least had the option to use it for everything if I wanted. However this is more just an irritation that I have and not really the fault of the processor and if I had the larger one then I would probably be complaining that it was too large and difficult to store so it just depends on what is more important for you.
