What a Great Little Chopper!! (Kenwood CH180 Mini-Chopper)
Member Name: mumsrus
Advantages: Small and convenient with a powerful motor Disadvantages: A bit noisy & fiddly to put together I bought one of these recently and I must say what a fabulous little buy I have been using it a lot more than I thought I would. I initially bought it for baby food which it chops beautifully but have found I've used it for a lot more besides; particularly onions for cooking, it chops them lovely and small (to hide from the kids) plus no more tears for me from the cutting!! The instructions suggest you take care with hard veg like carrots or turnips but I've had no problems at all (no reduction in revs for example). Some choppers I've had in the past tend to pulp everything at the bottom and leave the rest in chunks, but this has the most even chopping motion of any mini chopper I've come across with a really powerful little motor although it is quite Noisy!!. The bowl is a bit tricky to fit in and remove but even that does not detract from what is actually a pretty good product. It only has the one chopping speed which is very powerful and is controlled by keeping your finger on a large button on the top which only works if it is all assembled properly. As I mentioned - I haven't had it for long, but so far I'm very happy and it goes in the top rack of the dishwasher but one point worth noting though is to make sure the chopping blade is not upside down otherwise it fills up with dirty dishwasher water yuk!! Summary: Great little machine for not much money
