Advantages: Does everything it needs to do
Disadvantages: Bit small capacity
I bought my Kenwood FP126 only a few weeks ago, so this review is based very much on my recent experience with it. Unfortunatly I can't comment on reliability, although it hasnt blown up yet!!
It's a nifty little chrome plated looking thing, with very simple controls and a single 'mixing bowl'. In short, it's a very basic food processor. Weighing in at around 2-2.5 kg, it's not particularly heavy which is useful if like me you store it in a cupboard till you need to use it.
It comes with a selection of attachments, and does the standard kind of thing (it chops, it whisks, it slices etc), but it does all of these very very well. I've mainly used it for making pasta sauces and tomato base for pizzas, but it's performed admirably in both of these endevours.
My only grip with it would be that the bowl is slightly small for making anything on a large scale, as it only takes about 1litre of liquid before it's overflowing. But still, for the price it's certainly a minor issue.
Kenwood are a very reliable manufacturer, and i've only ever had to send one Kenwood product back thankfully. but they were swift in returning a fully functional one as it was under warrenty still. If by some chance this did break, I don't see getting it fixed being a problem.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap and basic food processor for 1/2 person meals that does all it needs to do.
Summary: Good basic processor unit, if cooking for more than 2 or 3 though, consider a larger model.
