      A good all round processor

I ordered this FP264 food processor as a replacement for the FP250, which started to smoke on me within days of purchase.
The processor looks amazing, the blender jug and spice jar are heavy glass, and it has chunky features like a chrome dial and a silver base. There are 3 blades for grating and slicing, a dough blade, a processor blade and a whisk.
I have used this processor almost everyday, and find it easy to use and clean. The blender works really well, crushing icecubes and blending soups easily. The spice attachment also is really good- the instructions actually say not to use spices in there, as they say the plastic could get affected, which I was initially a bit miffed about as that's why I ordered a glass one and not a plastic one, but having ignored them I'm happy to report that it works fine with no adverse effects.
The processor is also great, grating and chopping in seconds and mixing cake mixture with no problem. In my opinion making bread dough in there is impossible, as the machine jumps all over the kitchen side and is just not strong enough to cope with it. The whisk is great for small amounts, but if you try to whisk too much the mixture rises above the whisk and comes out of the processor = mess!
If used for too long the motor also starts to smell hot and I turn it off immediately.
All in all I would recommend this processor, but if you want to use it intensively or make bread I would say go for a stand alone Kitchen Aid type model if you can afford it, as it's probably a better investment.
