Advantages: cuts everything super super quick, easy to wash and brilliant speed settings
Disadvantages: very very very very sharp
Me and my boyfriend phil got engaged and got bought this. I was like brilliant i can now cut onions without crying and also cutting veg for chilli and curry is alot more easier and everything is the same size.
Whats included in the big box!!
-stainless steel chopping blades
-stainless steel coarse
- fine slicing/shredding discs,
-a twin-geared whisk,
-instruction and recipe book
The book itself is useful because only being a beginner at cooking i didnt have a clue what all the tools did but inside this book it says what tool is the best at cutting which fruit or veg you are using.
There are two settings for speed which is useful because depending on what your using it for it is brilliant it means you dont get food just sitting at the bottom of the bowl and everything is mixed together smoothly and efficently, your not waiting around for it.
I havent used it to make soup yet but i have made dough and it did mix it very well there were no air bubbles and the dough was easy to roll and wasnt sticky.
It seems to cut up vegetables such as mushrooms and onions really fine and quickly which i or an amature cook may not be able to do.
The bowl capacity is 1.5L and the lead length is 1m which is good if you dont have many sockets in your kitchen, it has a safety lock system which is good and it wont work unless you have put the bowl in the secure lock by twisting it clockwise ( we did have a few problems ) and the instuctions are easy to follow to assemble it and you can sort of work it out :)
anyways as i make more things using it i will update you all.
i do warn you though when washing up the blades be careful as we nearly lost fingers. When it says sharp it means deadly sharp. We dont have a dishwasher but i presume these tools are dishwasher safe. On a lighter note there is a round shape storage thing which you can put all the sharp tools in so that you dont cut yourself when going through ur kitchen cupboards.
to purchase this in comet it is around £79.99 house of frasier and debenams is quoting £65.00 as i say i didnt buy it , it was a gift so not sure what was paid for this one
Summary: food processor which is brilliant.
