Advantages: Choice and quality

Disadvantages: One star off for price

For a long time on the high street the only really specialist chocolate seller that had a national prescence that I can think of is Thorntons (the comments will tell me if I have forgotten one) however now in the form of Hotel Chocolate they have a bit of competition, no this is not a place that Homer Simpson would have stayed in while in Land of Chocolate (top episode) rather it is a retailer of good quality rather pricey chocolate products. The nearest one to me is in the Milton Keynes shopping centre and I would say that I'm a very irregular customer as I cannot afford to buy more frequently plus I need to keep fit.

They have a huge range and the emphasis is on quality rather than quantity, I have a couple of favourites that they do, one is the Chocolate Chip Cookie slab which is ess on quality and more on quality and looks a total mess but it is a fun bar to share with hand made cookies on a mixture of dark and milk chocolate, I also like their hand piped selection box that while pricey has some lovely tasting and very nice looking chocolates that are just to die for.

The shops are quite stylish and well set out and the staff are friendly enough. You can also buy from the website as well if there is not a stoire near you.
