Advantages: Delicious and generously sized

Disadvantages: Expensive and high cal/fat

Millie's Cookies is a favourite of me and my friends whenever we go shopping as it allows us to have something with lots of energy (ahem, calories) on the go. Their cookies are simple divine though can be sickly if too many are eaten, which does happen quite a lot!

Taste

Millie's Cookie are, quite simply, delicious. They have a rustic, authentic taste and are baked on the premises which is good to know. The chocolate chip cookies (our favourite) are well supplied with chocolate chips and are made using good chocolate - I cannot abide chocolate chip cookies done wrong! For using good, quality ingredients and baking on the premises, I give Millie's Cookies a 4.5/5 for taste.

Service

I have noting to complain about the service, but nothing to rave about either. The staff are polite and will occasionally smile which is really all you can expect. I have been occasionally goaded into buying more than I wanted, but fair dos to them - selling cookies is their job after all.

Value for Money

Millie's Cookies are certainly exceedingly expensive, however the price does drop the more cookies you buy (or when you buy within a deal, such as a drink and a cookie). Fortunately, if you keep aware, they do offer certain discounts are various times of the year - at one point I managed to get 12 cookies free for buying a 12 box for £4.99 which my friends and I shared. That was a great day!

Nutrition

A visit to the Millie's Cookies website nutritional information department can be shocking. Previously I estimated the value of a muffin at perhaps 450 kcal - I thought I was being ridiculously high. However the average calories for a muffin is 200 calories more at 648 kcal. These muffins are now no longer my lunch unless I ran for the train! All the classic cookies are under 200 kcal, which I was actually pleasently surprised at, after estimating it at nearer 300.

Overall, Millie's Cookies are a delicious, expensive treat that are to be savoured and accompanied by a lot of lip licking! And thats the way the cookie crumbles - sorry, couldn't resist.

Summary: A very sumptious occasional treat

I used to adore Millies Cookies but one day ate six in one go and made myself so sick that I can't look at them now without feeling queasy!

They do smell very sweet and sickly as you walk past their shops.
